As the three agents pulled up to a burning building Peña shook his head. "We gotta get something on this motherfucker." he said. "If he was arrested, there has to be a mugshot." Murphy spoke as he pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to think. "Yeah, well, the file's gone." Peña replied "If there was a mugshot, then it's gone too." he turned to look at her as he spoke. "If there's a photo, there's a negative." Barlowe said and both Murphy and Peña looked at her.
It dawned on them. They needed to find someone else without Suárez's help. And that someone was the man who took Pablo Escobar's mugshot years ago.
Murphy and Barlowe dropped Peña off a block away from the photographer's house so he could unsuspiciously walk there. Then, Barlowe, with Murphy in the passenger's seat, sped up to the house where Peña was and slammed on the breaks, and unlocked the car doors. Peña shoved the photographer inside before forcing Murphy to sit in the back with him. The Only downside of having three agents on one case.
The agents got the negatives, and for safekeeping, they put him in witness protection.
That night, the agents presented Pablo's mugshot to the ambassador. She then took the three agents to the Minister of Justice where she then presented him with the photo.
He was now the most wanted man in the country after going against the narcos. He was set to leave to go to Czechoslovakia in two weeks to be appointed as ambassador. But a lot could happen in two weeks.
"I think it might be a good idea for you to wear this until you leave." Barlowe said as she walked into Rodrigo Bonilla's office with a bulletproof vest in hand. "You feel responsible, is that it?" he asked "Somewhat, yes, sir." she replied. "Are you so arrogant to think you have any influence over my actions?" he asked as he walked over to her. "That I put my life and the life of my family at risk for American policy objectives?" he got in her face as he spoke in a condescending tone. "Let me assure you, Agent Barlowe, outside of providing me with the picture, you...did nothing. The decision to speak out was solely mine." he put his hands in his pockets. "And I highly advise you wear this vest." she spoke "Sir." she said after a pause. "I will accept this vest...out of respect for your concern of my well-being. But I will advise you and your other American friend one thing while you remain in Columbia." he spoke "And what is that?" she questioned "We accept your help, but never your condescension. When all this is over, Columbians will be the heroes, and the victims. John Wayne only exists in Hollywood." he said as he patted her arm. "Just wear the vest." she looked him in the eye before walking away. "Prick." she muttered to herself as she walked to her office where Murphy and Peña were already sitting.
"Who's a prick?" Murphy asked "The fuck are you two doing in here? Talking about your crushes like a bunch of schoolgirls? Because that's what it looks like." she asked as she plopped down onto her chair. "How'd you know?" Murphy pretended to be surprised "You never told us who the prick was." Peña said. "It's you, actually. I was just thinking about how much of a prick you are on the way over here. It's my daily routine." Vanessa said as she needed her head. "Oh really, because I do the same thing when I think about you." Peña replied "Oh so you think about me?" she crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair "Oooo." Murphy covered his mouth. "Now I never said that." Peña put his finger up. "Oh, but you did. You said; 'because I do the same thing when I think about you'. You can't deny that, I have a witness." she said and she pointed to Murphy "It's true, you did say it." Murphy said "You're supposed to be helping me here." Peña said to Murphy "Sorry, man." Murphy shrugged. "So when do you think about me?" she asked Peña and he stared daggers at her "What do you think about when you think of me? Oooo all kissy kissy." she imitated kissing. "Oh, shut up." Peña shook his head. "Okay then answer the question, manwhore." she leaned back in her chair again
"Hey, what did I do to get called a manwhore?" he asked "More like who did you do and that's practically every chick in Columbia besides me and Connie." Barlowe chuckled "And the ambassador." she spoke and Peña stayed quiet. Both Murphy and Barlowe looked at him with disgust on their faces "Are you serious right now..." she looked at Peña "Oh my god I'm gonna throw up thinking about that." she pretended to gag "Why are you thinking about that? Hm? Thinking about me naked?" Peña remarked "IT WAS FUNNY WHEN I SAID IT AND IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE!" she yelled through her hands that were covering her face causing both Murphy and Peña to laugh. "I'm just kidding, I never fucked the ambassador. But there's always time." he spoke "SHUT UP!" she gagged. She uncovered her face as they all laughed. Wow, their first team bonding moment. Javier couldn't help himself but watch Vanessa as she carelessly laughed. That was the first time he'd seen any emotion other than complete seriousness come from her. "What're you lookin' at, buddy?" Murphy asked Peña as he caught onto him staring at Vanessa.
