Ahh yes, The weekend. A time where everyone relaxes at home. Except for one of Green Hill's best maintenance, [Y/n].
You listened out for your that alarm on your phone while pacing around. Anyone could use your help at any given time and want to make sure they get it.
Meanwhile Sonic laid upside down on the edge of the couch with his hands limp.
"Ugh.. I'm so...Boooorrrreeed!" He groaned as his sock covered paws kicked the other side.
"Me too.." Tails added, toying with his tail.
"I also agree, for sitting on this soft nest has gotten repetitive." Knuckles huffed as he traced on the fuzzy ground under him.
"That's a carpet." Tails corrected.
Sonic noticed you wandering around with the phone in hand. After making your final lap from the garage, Sonic then blocked your path.
"What'cha doin'?" Sonic asked, curiously tilting his head.
"Oh, erm.. checking on something.." You answered, not looking up from your phone and passing him by.
Sonic then zipped over and took your phone, suddenly sitting on a chair in the opposite direction as you scoffed annoyed.
"What's so interesting that you can't take your eyes off it?" Sonic asked as he swiped here and there.
"Nothing much" You said as you handed out your palm for the phone.
"..Except work?" Sonic questioned as he looked up with a raised brow.
With nothing to counter that question, you slowly nodded as he gave back the phone.
"Oh come on! Why not ease up from all that plumbing stuff?" Sonic obnoxiously fell backwards and slowly slid off the chair.
"It's more than just plumbing." You said before you leaned against a wall.
Your heart felt like it jumped once you heard that alarm noise that rings everytime someone askes for your maintenance. As you scrolled through the report, Sonic flattened his ears as he watched, already knowing you were gonna leave.
( A/U: Definitely sensing separation anxiety. )
"We should play something." Tails suggested.
"Ok, how about.." Sonic's ears stood up in an instant, "Hide 'n' Seek!" Sonic excitedly jumped up and down.
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea!" Tails comment eagerly as he flew over.
"What is that?" Knuckles raised a brow approaching the other two mobians.
"It's a game where everyone hides and one person goes to find everyone else. I used to play that with Longclaw." Sonic sighed remembering those times.
Knuckles blinked for a moment then smiled. "Sounds like an interesting event." He finally said with amusement in his tone.
You noticed Sonic turn in your direction as if he was about to say 'Play with us, [Y/n]!'. In an instant you lifted a finger shaking it side to side.
"No." You blankly said as you began writing out a schedule, Sonic's expression fell into a pout.
"C'mon! Please?" Sonic whined.
"Please [Y/n]? It'll be fun!" Tails encouraged.
"Pass" You responded.
"Where I come from, Its considered dishonor to reject social bonding with your tribe." Knuckles lectured.
