[Y/n], A 19-year-old from out of town moved to Green Hills in search of a more interesting life, suddenly became a parent of a very energetic and cocky blue Hedgehog from another planet after some weird events that too...
You woke up in the middle of the night to a lack of warmth. For some reason, you didn't feel your blanket on you. That's when you looked up to notice it completely gone.
As you gazed around the room for any sign of it you then went in Sonic and Tails's room. To your surprise, their quilts were gone too! They were still asleep though, so you left as quietly as you arrived.
A slight creak could be heard as you opened the door to Knuckles's room. Neither him or his blanket was there.
Wielding a 'How?!' look, you went downstairs and searched all around, until you noticed a huge mound of blankets on the rug in your mini library.
"So...this is where they all went.." You mumbled as you walked over and tried to pick them all up.
But if felt so heavy, like something was underneath all of this. After trying a second time, you were certain.
You went over and lifted the blanket hill noticed a big muzzle peeking out, in an instant you knew who took the blankets.
You greatly understood his reasoning for he's an Echidna, for they have strong burrowing instincts.
"Hey, Knuckles?"
As you revealed the covers more, Knuckles shifted back into darkness, turning around to reveal his tail.
"C'mon..."
You then quickly took all the blankets off and stared down at him with hands on your hips.
He then covered his eyes with both of his gloves paws, wincing at the brightness before rolling on his side and stretching with a big yawn.
"Aww.." You whispered with a big smile as you looked as his pose, quickly snapping out of it forming that annoyed face.
( For those wondering, he's pretty much doing this. )

He then lifted himself up and looked around, suddenly noticing you.
"That is the matter?" Knuckles asked innocently.
You pointed at the blankets on which he widened his eyes, realizing it were yours, Sonic's, and Tails's, along with his own.
"Were you using them as some sort of fort?" You asked curiously.
"I suppose so.." He silently answered, "It felt comfortable.."
You thought for a second then had an idea.
"Ok, wait here." You said as you tool both Sonic and Tails's blankets back, leaving the other two behind.
You grabbed four cushions from the living room and set them around like a square. You then put one blanket over the other, on top of the cushions and shaped it a little to somewhat look like the start of a tunnel.
Knuckles observed it before going inside, his face reappearing at the front. He shuffled a little before forming a relaxed smile.
"You like it?" You giggled.
He nodded slowly as he released another yawn, lowering his head and tilted it to the side his eyelids demanding to be shut.
Your urge to pet has never been this strong.
Soon enough you down on his level, your hand onto his head, slowly rubbing it left and right and even some head scratches.
"Mmmph..hmmm.." He murmured as he slept.
You stood up and smiled.
"Goodnight, Blanket Bandit." You said before leaving the room and went back upstairs.
Sleeping with no blanket would feel weird, but at least Knuckles is comfortable.
