CHAPTER SEVEN.

ARIA HEAVILY MOPED into her room, dragging her body across to her bed. She fell onto her comfy duvet, and placed her purse on her floor. She turned and looked up at her ceiling, while half her body lay falling off the bed.

She let out a long sigh before a knock appeared on her open door. She peered her eyes over, and saw her childhood friend Chad awaiting by the door frame.

"Chad Meeks Martin." Aria called out, to which her friend responded,

"Aria May Cruz."

Chad plopped down on the bed next to her. "Mindy filled me in on everything."

He stated, "Oh fun. I get to play victim to more people now." Her sarcastic tone suggested something was wrong, and Chad knew what.

"Hey." He said. "You're not a victim. You're a survivor. Our survivor."

"Yeah." She said, "I'm getting pretty sick of surviving." As tears rolled down her face. Chad kissed the top of her head while pulling her in close for a hug.

"Don't give up on us yet, Ari. We need you." He mutters,

"I'm just about ready to give up though. On everything. On myself." She mumbles through her cries, not realizing Ethan stood behind the door frame listening to them. Hearing her cries made Ethan know that his next mission would be even harder to get through.
