Chapter 12

CHAPTER TWELVE.

ARIA WALKED THE DARK SIDEWALKS holding her arms, as the cold october breeze howled. She reached the police station, and was confused at the sight of the empty parking lot and dimmed lights.

Aria spotted the empty station and knew something was wrong. She picked up her phone, and pointed the flash at the deserted station. In a confused act, she called Detective Bailey.

The line rang for a few seconds before he answered.

"Aria! Is something wrong?" He asked.

"Uhm, I'm not sure. I'm here at the station and it looks like it's closed?"

"Oh yes. Quite a few of our deputies went home due to the time. I'm still in here, the door should be open."

"Uh okay." She mutters confusedly, walking slowly to the entrance.

"I can stay on the line with you while you enter if you'd like." The detective stated, to which the young girl replied "Sure. I'd appreciate that."

She reached the door, and gently pulled it open.

"Okay, I'm here." She said, walking to the dark hallway as the lights flickered on and off. "Detective Bailey?" She asked, continuing to explore the dark station. "Hello?"

"Hello, Aria. Told you we'd be seeing each other again." A familiar voice said, causing Aria to stop dead in her tracks. She froze, but whipped around quickly hearing the door shut and lock. "No no no," She whispered, running to the door trying to push it open. "Shit." She muttered, making the eerie voice chuckle.

"You know Aria, I thought you'd be smarter than this." The voice exclaims.

"What is this?" She asked, "Why are you doing this, detective?" She spat.

"Oh you sweet poor little thing. This isn't Detective Bailey." He exclaimed. "You wouldn't believe how easy it was to clone a cop's phone."

Aria's breath deepend, she knew the apartment attack wouldn't be the last time she'd see the killer but she wasn't ready. Not for this, never for this.

She gasps in fear when she hears movement down the hallway.

"You scared yet?" The ghostly voice asked.

"What do you want from me?" She asks, tears filling her eyes before pouring down her frightful face.

"I want you to suffer like I've suffered. I want you to feel the pain you've caused me." He says, making Aria harden her expression.

"What are you talking about?" She mumbles through her broken sobs.

"You'll see aria. You'll see, soon." He says, as a loud noise from across the hall causes Aria to jump and sprint the other way. She runs across the dark police station, before running into a dark figure, who steps into light. She meets the ghostface killer again, as they slam a knife brutally into her abdomen.

She lets out a paralyzing scream, sending shock waves down the killer's body. The killer then slams her against the wall, turning the knife more and more into her body as she screams and cries.

She looked into the killer's eyes and felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity, however this was quickly interrupted by her attacker slashing the knife out of her body and fleeing the scene. Leaving Aria alone to slowly transcend into a state of unconsciousness.

She slid down the wall in pain, leaving a trail of blood for whoever may find her. Aria coughs up blood, and spits it out leaving it to stain her white long sleeve shirt.

In her last bit of strength she calls her boyfriend. Her blood stains her screen, as she frightenedly tapped the buttons waiting for him to pick up.

"Hey, where are you?" He asks, his voice shaking a bit secretly praying she escaped her attacker.

"Ethan, he got me." She coughed.

"What? Aria?" Ethan frantically spewed.

"I was at the station when he got me, I think I'm dying, E." She cried, tears leaving her eyes as blood left her body.

"I don't wanna die, I'm not ready!" She cried, her phone slipping from her hand due to the blood. Ethan's voice mumbly cried "Ari please hang on, I'm coming, I'm on my way!" She gasped for air, looking down at her phone that slipped from her grip and was now on the floor, in her pool of blood.

Her eyes grew tired, her body began sinking into an unconscious state as distant police sirens put Aria to sleep.
