The great storm dragon said to be the cause of raging storms and devastating natural disasters. Having disappeared along with all the other dragons, the storm dragon became a myth, her name only ever heard in lost fairy tales. Stories warn those caught in storms to look out for the great dragon as she may strike them down. Others describe the storm dragon flying down to aid those caught in her great storms. But both versions often include another story. One that speaks of a young girl who stumbled into the dragon's care.
~Rei~
Abandoned by her mother, the young dragon slayer spends the next few years of her life in a small port town in northern Fiore known as Lotus. Surrounded by new sights and smells, she learns things previously unknown to her, including the troubles of her new home.
Leaving her new family, the dragon slayer sets out on a journey to save her town from the dark wizards tormenting the townspeople. Accompanied by her flying cat and an energetic teenager, the dragon slayer faces challenges, explores new environments, and encounters new faces during her journey.

Hello everyone! Welcome to Nephele, a story with way too many OCs that has quickly become one of my favorite stories. Before I get too much into my little intro author note, I just want to make sure everyone knows this story will not follow the Fairy Tail anime at all. This story contains almost only OCs that I've created and the story follows an OC guild, so all new characters are created by me. Spoiler alert, Rei does not go off to join Fairy Tail. I wanted to write a Fairy Tail fanfic, but that anime is so long and I couldn't come up with a good plot for a single character who joins Fairy Tail, so instead, I just decided to create a whole new guild with entirely original characters. And now this is a result of that and I'm very happy with how it is. So this story is pretty much an original story set in the world of Fairy Tail.
And now that that's out of the way, I have some beforehand stuff I just wanna say. First, if you ever see any errors, grammar or spelling-wise, please correct me so I can fix them. I'm only human and I don't tend to do a lot of proofreading before I post things, so there will be spelling and grammar errors. I make a ton of them and sometimes Grammarly doesn't catch them all for me. So just tell me so I can fix it, that would be greatly appreciated.
Next, on a more story-related note, there's gonna be some stuff in this story that I establish for the world that may not be canon. I'll talk about this more in a future chapter, but there's a bit of stuff in this story that's just not talked about in the anime(as far as I know), so I've had to fill in the gaps. I normally hate having to do stuff like that since I'm always scared of getting something wrong, but I know I'm just gonna have to do it with this story, so just bear with me and if you notice that there's something that doesn't match canon, I'd like to fix that if I can.
