After Rei and Nox's fight, Rei separated from the group as she followed after Bob back into the guild hall. The rest of the crowd also went back inside, going back to their previous tables and going back to what they were doing before the group of wizards interrupted.
Rei followed Bob to a bar where he walked right through the counter. Sky had trailed behind them and took a seat on the counter next to Rei.
"Would you like something to drink?" Bob asked, looking between Rei and Sky.
Sky politely declined while Rei asked for a glass of water. Bob set one in front of her before he continued, "That was very impressive. You're a very skilled wizard. You use storm magic?"
"Storm dragon Slayer magic," Rei answered with a bit of pride in her voice. "My mother taught it to me. She's the storm dragon Nephele."
"Ah so you're one of the few dragon slayers raised by actual dragons," Bob said with a slightly impressed tone. But his unphased nature caught Rei a little off guard.
"Have you meet other dragon slayers?" Sky asked, voicing the question in Rei's head.
"Oh yes, Makarov has two dragon Slayer boys. One of them says he was raised by a dragon too." Bob explained. Rei gave him a slightly confused look and he continued, "Makarov is Fairy Tail's guild leader. It's a very strong guild in Magnolia. I believe he's a fire dragon slayer, the one who says he was raised by a dragon. He's quite the cutie."
"Wait, so he was raised by a dragon too?" Rei questioned, earning a nod of clarification from Bob.
She shared a look with Sky who nodded, "We'll make a note of it and we can go there once we've got things settled in Lotus. I know finding Nephele is important, but there's a high chance this could led to nothing and right now protecting Lotus is our top priority."
"Yeah," Rei mumbled in unsure agreement. She let out a sigh and stared at the bar counter for a long minute before lightly shaking her head and looking back up at Bob. "Anyways, back to what we originally came here for. I want your advice for starting a guild and being a guild master."
"That's quite a loaded request," Bob said with a small sigh. Then he smiled at Rei, "Where do I begin?"
* * *
Bob had started his advice with the story of how he founded Blue Pegasus. As he told his story, he explained parts of the process and answered any of Rei's questions. As his story went into his first experiences with being a guild master, Bob switched to giving more advice rather than telling a story. He explained what guild masters did and some of his first mistakes, as well as how Rei could avoid them. Bob also told her that it was ok to make those mistakes as there was always something to learn from them.
By the time Rei and Bob finished talking, it was beginning to get dark outside and Blaise and Evelyn had wandered off. Nox and Aurelia were waiting at a table for her when her conversation with Bob ended and she thanked him for taking up so much of his time to talk to her.
"I'm shocked you're still here, Shadow boy. I thought you would've left right away." Rei said as she stood at the end of the table the two wizards were sitting at.
Nox grit his teeth and his eyes didn't leave the table, "You won. I have to join you now."
Rei smirked and crossed her arms, "I guess that's true. Although I did expect you to just leave anyways."
"I wouldn't go back on a deal like that," Nox grumbled, still not meeting Rei's eyes.
"Also I wouldn't've let him do that," Aurelia chimed in, earning an annoyed look from Nox, which she ignored. "Obviously you're really strong and I think it'd be cool to be a part of a new guild. And worse case scenario, that fails and we just come back here."
"It won't fail," Rei stated, staring into Aurelia's eyes with unwavering confidence. Aurelia looked a little unnerved by her determination before Rei's attitude went back to its usual casualness, "Where's Blaise and Evelyn?"
"I don't know, the two idiots ran off a while ago," Nox answered with a shrug. Rei glanced at Aurelia and she also shrugged.
Sky sighed, "I'll go find them. We'll meet back at the hotel for dinner."
"You sure?" Rei questioned. "I can find them easily. Blaise is like a walking smoke cloud."
"No that's alright, I don't mind flying around to find them," Sky replied.
"Alright, I'll see you at the hotel then," Rei said before Sky nodded in response and flew out of the guild hall, a few wizards watching her as she passed. When Sky was out of sight, Rei turned back to Nox and Aurelia, "Well, since you guys are joining the group, do you need to learn magic and names?"
"Rei, right?" Aurelia asked, earning a nod from Rei. Aurelia smiled, "And the girl is Evelyn while the other is Blaise. Right?"
"Yup. And the cat is Sky." Rei added. Aurelia hummed and Rei continued, "Do you guys need to know magic or do you want a wait till we get to the hotel?"
"What is your magic?" Nox questioned a bit abruptly. "It's some form of wind or storm magic, but it's a whole other level of strong."
"And you saw that first hand," Rei jabbed with a smirk. Nox glared at her and Rei shook her head. "I use storm dragon slayer magic."
"Dragon slayer magic?" Aurelia echoed. "Isn't that lost magic?"
Rei nodded, "Yeah, and I was taught it by Nephele the storm dragon."
Aurelia gave Rei a stunned look while Nox scoffed, "Yeah right. You want me to believe you were taught magic by an actual dragon?"
"I mean, she was basically my mother until she disappeared," Rei explained nonchalantly. Nox and Aurelia stared at her with dumbfounded expressions and Rei waved her hand dismissively, "It doesn't matter right now. Come on, let's head to the hotel so we can eat."
