Rei lead Aurelia and Nox back to the hotel and they Nox agreed to share a room with Blaise and Aurelia with Rei and Evelyn. After they set their stuff in their rooms, the group waited for Sky to come back with Blaise and Evelyn in the lobby. When they finally did, Sky had an irritated look on her face and Evelyn was eating some chocolate treat Rei had never seen before.

When they went to eat dinner, Evelyn spent almost half the time teasing Nox about his loss against Rei. Aurelia mentioned to Rei that she had done that before leaving the Blue Pegasus guild hall and Rei made her stop. When Evelyn finally shut up, the conversation went to talking about everyone's magic. Nox seemed to realize that the two girls from the tiny town no one had ever heard of were actually extremely strong as Evelyn talked about her magic. Then Aurelia changed the topic by asking why they were starting a guild and Rei talked about the dark wizards around her town.

After their story, the group finished eating and went to their rooms to go to bed. The girls stayed up for a while talking, Aurelia was questioned more on her magic and Sky switched the conversation to Aurelia's life. She told them that her and Nox had meet because their parents were friends. Then when Nox's father walk out on them, the two had become even closer as her family helped Nox and his mother get back on their feet.

Aurelia told them how she wanted to join a guild because of Nox. How the two of them joined the guild in their town and left because of drama that came up dealing with Nox's father. They had been traveling since, making their way to Blue Pegasus thinking it might be the guild for them.

"You know, if joining Blue Pegasus is that important to you two, you can," Rei said as Aurelia finished talking. Evelyn narrowed her eyes at her and Rei ignored her, "I'm not going to hold it over your head or anything."

Aurelia shook her head, "No that's ok. I think this'll be better for both of us anyways. Obviously you guys are strong and you seem like good people working toward a good cause. So I'm happy to be a part of this. And, even though he won't say it, I'm sure Nox is too."

"Well, he better be," Evelyn huffed, crossing her arms. "I don't care what Rei says, I'd hold his loss over his head even more if he didn't hold up his end of the deal."

Rei let out a sigh and shook her head, "Ignore her. If you guys decide to leave, that's ok, but we really do appreciate having you on the team."

"Yes, the more wizards we have the better, and you and Nox seem like competent wizards, which is something we're a bit lacking in," Sky said.

Rei rolled her eyes, "Ok, whatever. I'm going to sleep, we're going to leave tomorrow morning. We'll spend a little time picking out our route in the morning then leave."

"Sounds good," Aurelia said with a smile.

* * *

"No, absolutely not."

"Rei."

"Walking is faster."

"You know that's not true."

"I can walk faster than a wagon."

"Rei."

"I'm not getting on that death trap."

"Rei, I will drag you on that wagon if I have to."

Rei huffed and crossed her arms, her head turned away from Sky in petty defiance. Sky let out a sigh and Nox narrowed his eyes at Rei as he spoke, "What's your problem with wagons?"

"Motion sickness," Evelyn and Blaise answered for Rei at the same time.

"It's really bad," Blaise added

"It's hilarious," Evelyn snickered, earning a glare from Rei. She ignored it, "The strongest wizard in our town. A dragon slayer raised by the great storm dragon Nephele. Her greatest weakness: vehicles."

"Oh shut it, Demon girl. At least I didn't lose to old man Kaleb." Rei retorted.

Evelyn gave her an offended look, "I let him win!"

"Sure you did," Rei said, rolling her eyes.

The group had woken up relatively early that morning and met up for breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. While eating, Sky got out their map and explained that they would be taking a wagon to their next town. Rei had thought she was joking based on the way Sky talked about it, but as they made their way to the stables of a wagon service, Rei realized she hadn't been joking and started throwing a fit.

Yet somehow, Rei ended up on that wagon with her head out the window to avoid throwing up on anyone. Evelyn was sitting next to her to make sure she didn't fall out the window as her and the rest of the group talked like Rei wasn't there.

The wagon ride lasted about an hour before it abruptly stopped, causing Rei to slide to the floor of the wagon questioning if it was over in a sick voice.

"We're not in town yet," Sky answered, looking out the window with narrow eyes.

"What's going on?" Aurelia asked, waking up from her nap. Rei glared at her with nauseated jealousy as she rubbed her eyes.

"I don't know," Nox replied as he poked his head out the window Rei had previously been hanging out of.

"You're gonna have to pay the toll. You and your passengers." A voice demanded from outside the wagon.

Rei moved so she was sitting on the seat instead of the floor, her stomach settling, "I think we're being robbed."

"As if, I'll kick their asses before they take anything from me," Evelyn growled as she tried to stand up and walk out of the wagon.

Sky stopped her as Rei sniffed the air, "I think there's 15 or 20 of them. Probably half are hiding in the forest and there's a few in front and behind us. I think they have three wizards, maybe four."

"Weren't you just throwing up a second ago? Now you're analyzing the amount of bandits surrounding us?" Nox questioned in a slightly annoyed voice. Rei shot him a glare but didn't respond as the door of the wagon was flug open to reveal a man who looked like the typical bandit. He was a little scrawny and wore a bandana around his head. Rei also noted that he had a magic sword in his hand, but wasn't a wizard.

"Sorry to interrupt, but you need to pay to get through here," the scrawny bandit said in a raspy voice.

Evelyn didn't wait for anyone to say anything before a ball of shadows appeared over her first and she punched the bandit. He let out a scream as he flew back and landed on the floor with Evelyn standing on the step of the wagon with a smirk on her face, "I'm not paying you anything!"

"Don't kill them, we're going to turn them in at the next town," Sky instructed, flying over Evelyn as her and everyone else poured out of the wagon.

"So you're daring to challenge us?" Rei turned to a man who smelled of sweat and fish and seemed to be the leader of the group. He was incredibly bulky yet Rei felt less intimidated by him than the short man next to him, who seemed to be someone the group hired. The short man had a hood over his head and had the breezy smell of a wind wizard.

"Blaise, do you wanna try fighting a water wizard?" Rei asked Blaise, as Evelyn transformed behind her and Aurelia took her keychain out of its pouch.

Blaise gave her a questioning look, "You don't wanna fight their leader?"

"No I'm taking the guy next to him," Rei answered with a smirk before Blaise agreed to fight the bandit's leader before everyone jumped into action.
