Chapter 13

After they left Yellowseed, the group spent the whole day walking to the next city. They only stopped once for less than an hour to eat lunch. Sky made it a point to keep them moving as when they did finally make it to Blue Pegasus's city, the sun was setting and the group was starving. They went into the first restaurant that caught Rei and Evelyn's attention and ate there before finding a hotel.

The next morning, the group woke up late, partially on purpose, even Sky didn't want to get out of bed. It was officially day 11 of their trip, which wasn't quite two weeks, but extra sleep was very welcomed.

When everyone finally did get up, Blaise came to the girls' room to talk about what they'd do that day. They agreed that they'd wait to leave tomorrow and take the entire day to explore the city and see what they could learn from Blue Pegasus. When they finally left their hotel, it was getting close to noon and they walked around for a little before heading into a restaurant.

"So, after we eat we're gonna go find Blue Pegasus's guild hall?" Evelyn questioned as they ate their food. The waitress had come out and given them their food just a minute ago.

"That's the plan," Rei answered before taking another bite of her food.

Blaise swallowed before saying, "I can show you guys the way there. I don't think it's too far from here."

"Oh you've been through here before, righ?" Rei asked, earning a nod from Blaise. "So after we go to Blue Pegasus you can show us the other cool stuff there is to do here."

"Yeah sure," Blaise said.

"Oh, hey, do you think we'll be able to spar with anyone in Blue Pegasus?" Evelyn asked, looking at Blaise.

Sky let out a sigh, "Is fighting people all you ever think about?"

"If we have time for it, there's no harm," Rei replied. "And being able to fight all different types of wizards helps improve your skills. And since Blue Pegasus is supposed to be famous or whatever, then they're bound to have strong people there."

Sky sighed again, but this time in defeat, "I suppose if there's time it wouldn't be an issue."

"So then when we get to Blue Pegasus we'll talk to the guild master and, if we have time, we can do other stuff afterward," Rei said, earning nods from Blaise and Evelyn.

There was a minute of silence while they ate before a girl came up to their table, "Excuse me, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard you mention something about Blue Pegasus. Are you guys planning on joining?"

Rei looked up at a girl who had no noticeable smell and platinum blond hair. Behind her was a boy with black hair and black eyes who somehow smelled like shadows. She looked back at the girl before saying, "No, we just want to talk to the guild master. We're actually starting our own guild."

"You're starting your own guild?" The shadow boy questioned with a skeptical look.

The plain girl shot shadow boy a glare before looking back at Rei with a smile, "That's really cool. I hope that goes well for you."

"Yeah thanks," Rei said, trailing off a bit at the end. There was a beat of awkward silence as Rei stared at the girl before she asked, "Hey, what kind of magic do you use?"

"Good lord Rei, you can't just ask what magic people use out of nowhere," Sky scolded, drawing the two wizards' attention to her. Both of them gave her a confused and shocked look and she glared at them when the boy opened his mouth.

"She doesn't smell like anything but she must have magic if she's gonna join a guild," Rei replied defensively, glancing at Sky before looking back at the girl. "I'm just curious."
