"Sir I Don't Think You Understand The Risk You Are Putting Her In By Not Telling Her."
------------------------
A Loud Beeping, A Oxygen Tank, And A Soft Voice Was All I Could Hear.

The Mask Cuffing My Nose And The I.V. Needle In My Arm Let Me Know Officially That I Was In A Hospital.

It Took Me A Minute To Adjust To The Bright Light. I Looked To The Right To See Kameron And A Doctor Talking.

The Doctor Handed Kameron A Paper And Kameron Starred At It For A Bit.

I Shifted Around In The Bed And They Both Turned To Look At Me.

"Hey Baby," Kameron Said, Quickly Folding The Paper And Putting It In His Pocket.

"What's Going On?" I Questioned, Looking Down At My Body. "Why Am I Here?"

Kameron Walked Beside My Bed And Got On His Knees. "When I Came Home A Couple Of Weeks Ago, You Were At The Bottom Of The Stairs, Unconscious."

I Thought About That For A Moment, Then Let It Go. "How Long Have I Been Here?"

"About 3 Weeks." The Dr. Stepped In, "I'm Dr. Barns, Your Doctor. I've Been Checking In On You For The Past Few Weeks."

"What Are My Injuries?" I Asked Him, As Kameron Continued To Look At Me.

"Well," Dr. Barns Started, "You Have A Fracture In Your Knee, And A Minor Concussion. Also, You Had A Bit Of Problems With Your Lungs From The Force Of You Tumbling Down The Stairs. While We Were Viewing Your Eternal X-rays, We Also Found Out That You--"

Kameron Quickly Rose, Cutting Him Off, "Not Now!"

"Sir You Don't Understand The Risk You Are Putting Her In By Not Telling Her." Dr. Burns Spoke Sternly.

I Watched As Kameron's Body Tensed. "I Will Tell Her Myself."

"Tell Me What?" I Interrupted.

After Dr. Burns Looked At Kameron A Moment, He Excused His Self.

Kameron Pulled The Paper From His Back Pocked And Kneeled By Me Once Again.

"Kameron," I Started, Looking Down At Him.

He Grasped My Hand And Sighed Loudly. "While The Doctors Were Looking At Your X-rays, They Came Across Something They Thought Was A Growing Tumor."

He Paused Another Moment, Looking Me Dead In My Eyes. "They Took Some More Images, Focusing Mainly On The Thought To Be Tumor. Turns Out, It Isn't A Tumor Bonnie. We're Having A Baby."

I Squeezed His Hand And Thought Long And Hard. "I Can't Believe This."

Kameron Let Go Of My Hand And Placed It Over My Stomach. "I Got A Little Minnie Me In There."

I Smiled, "Kameron We Got A Little Minnie Us In There!"

"Correction, A Minnie Me, He's Not Going To Be Like You 'Cause You're Weird!" Kameron Said, In A Girls Tone.

I Looked Down At My Stomach, "You Hear That Baby? Your Father Is A Fag."

I Looked Up To See Kameron With The Most Serious Face In Life. "You Hear That Son? Your Momma Bout To Get Beat Up!"

We Laughed And Continued To Talk To Our Child Until We Heard A Knock On The Door.

In Walked Dr. Barns With A Clipboard, "I See You've Found Out The Great News Ms. Gray. Congratulations!"

I Glanced At My Stomach Once More, "Thank You So Much!"

"Your Welcome. Now I've Come To Discuss Your Injuries With Both Of You."

I Nodded And Watched Kameron Take A Seat.

"For Your Beautiful Gift Of A Child, Of Course We'll Assign You Some Prenatal Vitamins That You Should Take Every Day. For Your Fractured Knee, We'll Put A Brace On It But You Should Be Able To Walk On It A Little Bit, Not Too Much Though. For Your Lungs, That Are Having Trouble Functioning We Are Going To Send A Machine Home With You That'll Help You Breath Until They Start Functioning Correctly. Questions?"

Kameron Stood, "So How Bad Are Her Lungs?"

"Basically, Without Some Source Of Oxygen Going Straight Through To Her Lungs, Then Ms. Gray Cannot Breath On Her Own For A Long Period Of Time."

I Had A Question Myself, "How Does This Machine Work."

Dr. Barns Handed Me A Picture, "It's A Cannula. A Little Small Oxygen Tank That You Carry Around With You Everywhere You Go And Use Nasal Tubes. It Isn't That Bad, Just For 2 Months At The Most."

Kameron Looked Back At Me. "When Can She Leave."

"Luckily, You Can Be Released Today, Once We Do Our Final Checkup On Your Injuries." He Said As I Gave Him The Photo Back. "Which I'll Be Back In A Few Minutes To Do That."

With That Dr. Barns Exited The Room And Kameron And I Just Sat In Silence Until He Came Back.

A Female Nurse Smiled At Me Then Kameron Before Taking A Seat Directly By My Knee.

Basically, I Wasn't Focused On Her, I Was Focused On The Other Doctor.

He Took The Mask From My Face And Breathing Wasn't Bad Like Dr. Barns Said.

It Was Until About 60 Seconds After The Mask Was Off That Breathing Started To Get Troubling.

Placing The Mask Back Over My Face, The Doctor Noted That. "60 Seconds Of CO2."

He Took The Mask Off Once Again Before Replacing It With Some Tubes That Went Inside My Nose.

It Was Hooked To A Little Portable Tank With Wheels That To Me, Looked Like A Bomb Under Water.

"This Will Have To Be Changed Out Ever 3 Days," The Doctor Said, Pointing To The Tank. "When Sleeping, Be Careful."

"So I Can Do Everything As Before Except Breathe On My Own?" I Asked, Looking At The Nurse Work On My Knee.

"Sadly, No." He Spoke, Continuing. "Since The Oxygen Tank Is Not An Official Oak Of CO2 From Nature, It's Gonna Be Hard For You To Move Around Alot Without Getting Tired. Try To Keep Away From Stairs."

I Did A Hard Breath, "Oh Boy, This Is Gonna Be A Long 2 Months."

The Nurse Rose From My Knee As I Spotted A Black Structure On It, "All Done."
