"Feel Like I'm Going To Have The Baby."
-------------------
I Packed An Over Night Bag For Myself As Kameron Got Dressed. Boy And I Headed Down Stairs.

I Pulled Out Bacon From The Refrigerator Before Taking 6 Pieces From The Back And Placing It On A Pan.

After I Had Placed The Bacon In The Oven, I Went Back Upstairs And Took My Vitamins.

Kameron Wrapped His Arms Around My Waist. "How Long You Been Up?"

I Looked At Him Through The Vanity Mirror. "Since 6 This Morning."

"Damn," He Said As I Walked To Our Bedroom. "Why So Early?"

I Shrugged Lightly, "Boy Had To Use The Bathroom Then I Couldn't Go Back To Sleep."

Kameron Followed Me Down The Stairs. "That Explains The Ironed And Folded Laundry."

I Nodded, "Yeah, I Didn't Have Anything Else To Do."

"I See." He Spoke, Looking Inside The Oven. "That Explains The Breakfast You Making Me Too Huh?"

I Laughed, Shaking My Head. "The Bacon's Not For You Kameron. It's For Boy."

Kameron's Face Expression Quickly Changed, "Why Does The Damn Dog Get Bacon, Bonnie?"

I Moved Towards The Oven, "Because We Forgot To Get Him Some Dog Food. Besides, You Can Always Stop And Get You Something To Eat."

He Scoffed, Sitting Down At The Island, Watching Me Pull The Bacon From The Oven.

He Continued To Watch Me Drain The Bacon, Up Until I Sat It Down For Boy.

I Looked At The Time, 9:35.

"Kameron We Gotta Go, It's Almost 10." I Said, Picking Up My Overnight Bag. "Could You Grab Me Some Chobani Yogurt Flip Cups, And Regular Ones Too, Please?"

I Saw Him Nod And Grab The From The Refrigerator. "Come On Boy."

"Kameron, We Can't Take Him With Us," I Told Him, "You Know That."

Kameron Stepped Out Of The House With Boy Following Him. "Watch Me Walk Straight In There."

I Ignored Him And Got Into The Car. We Soon Drove Off And Headed To The Hospital.

Boy Was In The Back Seat With His Head Hanging Out The Rolled Down Window.

When We Pulled To The Hospital, Kameron Opened The Door For Me And Grabbed My Bag.

The Cold Air Hit My Body As We Walked Through The Entrance. Boy Was Trailing Behind Us.

I Walked To The Receptionist And Grabbed A Sign-In Sheet. "I Have An Appointment."

I Gave The Woman My I.D. And Continued To Sign-In. By Now Signing In To Some Kind Of Hospital Was A Regular For Me.

"Ms. Gray?" The Nurse Called, Tapping On My Shoulder. "Is That Your Dog?"

I Looked Around, Then Looked Beside Me To See Boy Sitting There Patiently. "Yes."

"No Dogs Allowed In The Hospital Ma'am," She Spoke, Leaning Back Over The Counter.

From The Corner Of My Eye, I Saw Dr. Barns Walk Up. "They're With Me."

"I Understand That Dr., But The Policy Is Still The Same." The Receptionist Explained.

"I Said They're With Me!" Dr. Barns Screamed, Then Looked At Me, Kameron, And Boy. "Come Now, All Of You."

I Took Another Glance At The Receptionist Before Following Behind Dr. Barns.

"How Are You Ms. Gray?" He Asked Me As We Got On The Elevator.

"I'm Doing Fine," I Answered. "How About Yourself."

"Oh I'm Living." He Spoke Laughing A Little, Turning To Kameron. "How About You Sir?"

Kameron, Of Course, Was On His Phone. "I'm Good."

I Rolled My Eyes As The Elevator Opened. Dr. Barns Led Us To A Different Room Then Yesterday.

"Get As Comfortable As Possible." Dr. Barns Told Me, "Then We Get You On Some Medicine And Go From There."

I Nodded As He Left The Room. Kameron Walked Up To Me And Kissed My Neck Quickly.

"I Feel Like I'm Going To Have The Baby," I Said, As Boy Jumped Onto The Bed With Me.

"What You Mean By That?" Kameron Asked Me, Sitting In A Chair.

"You Know," I Spoke, Looking Around, "The Bag Packing, The Waiting. It's Just A Feeling."

"Oh." Kameron Said Dryly, Looking Back At His Phone.

Dr. Barns Walked In The Room With A Nurse. I Watched Them Get Some Packs From The Cabinet.

The Nurse Pulled Up A Stool Beside Me And Began Thumping It. "Just A Simple I.V. Needle."

"Okay," I Said, Watching Her Open The Needle. "Nothing Major Right."

She Smiled At Me. "Your Much More Positive Than Everyone Else I've Dealt With."

I Giggled A Little. "Well, I Try."

I Didn't Even Notice That While We Were Conversation That She Had Stuck The Needle In Me.

"I'm Just Gotta Pull Out The Sharp Part And Leave A Plastic Straw In." The Nurse Explained. "By The Way, I'm Nurse Hill."

She Shook My Finger Awkwardly And We Both Laughed.

Dr. Barns Stood Behind Her With The Biggest Syringe Of Life.

He Inserted The Substance From The Syringe Into My I.V. Tube And I Watched As It Rushed To My Arm.

"Don't Worry," Nurse Hill Whispered. "It's Just Medicine That Help You Stay Calm."

"Why Would I Need To Stay Calm?" I Asked Her A Bit Scared."You Haven't Had A Chance To Really Breath On Your Own For Awhile," She Started. "So Having The Tubes Out For A Long Period Of Time Will Cause Your Body To Go Into Minor Shock."

"Minor Shock." I Repeated, "Okay, As Long As It Isn't Major."

Dr. Barns Pulled The Tubes From My Nose And I Focused On Nothing But Breathing.

They Stayed With Me For About 10 Minutes Just Watching My Reactions To Breathing.

Finally, Dr. Burns Spoke. "We'll Be Back To Check On You A Little Later. My Advice Is To Always Have Someone In Here With You."

I Looked Over At Kameron, "No Problem."

They Both Exited The Room And I Looked Over At Kameron. "Kam?"

He Looked Up At Me. "What's Up?"

I Pointed To The Yogurt On My Bag, "Could You Bring Me One?"

He Grabbed It And Tossed It To Me, "There."

I Caught It And Put It Beside Me. "May I Ask What Was That About?"

He Sighed, "My Cousin Got Married 4 Months Back, And She's Unhappy And Trying To Get Away."

"Continue," I Said, "I'm Just Trying To Figure Out The Cause Of Your Attitude Towards Me."

He Stood. "She Needs Somewhere To Stay, So She's Going To Be Living With Us For A Little While Along With Her Little Girl."

"Kameron, This Is Still Not Telling Me Why You Have An Attitude Towards Me." I Said Once Again.

"I Didn't Know How You Were Going To React." Kameron Admitted.

"I Don't Have A Problem With It Kameron," I Said, Opening My Flip Yogurt. "Your Helping Out A Family Member, How Sweet. Now Could You Pass Me That Plastic Spoon."

Kameron Picked Up The Plastic Spoon From The Table And Walked Over To Me, Placing It In My Hand.

I Wasted No Time Eating My Flip Yogurt. "This Is So Good."

Kameron Laughed, "I Can Tell The Way Your Stuffing Your Face."
