Mon

I'm done with my morning routine, jogging. I stopped and sat down at the vacant bench na nakita ko. I drank my water as I'm listening to one of my favorites artists I let the sweat from my body to fall down.

I took my phone out of my pocket to check if I received a message and there's a lot of it, actually. But I opened my Mom's message first, ofcourse. She's telling me to go back home quickly. I raised my brow. My Mom would never ask me to go home this quick unless if it's an emergency. So I quickly get up on my feet and ran to the side street and called for a cab.

When we reached the house. I paid for my fee and jumps out from the car. I ran inside the house and look for my Mother. There I saw her at the living room, talking to my bestfriend Yuki while looking something to the phone, smiling.

"Mom, Yuki." I called while approaching them.

Then Yuki stood up and hugged me.

"Anong meron?" I asked her, still on her arms.

She then pulled away from the hug and showed me her phone.

"Look for yourself." She said.

I looked to my Mom first and she nod, smiling that reaches her eyes. I can tell to her eyes that it's a good news.

I took her phone. My eyes widened when I saw a new released Magazine cover of Dior. I can't believe this...

"Can you take a look again and tell me if it's really me?" I said, giving the phone back to Yuki again.

"It's you, Mon. It's really you. Oh my, congratulations. You really are the main model of the biggest clothing company."

She said hugging me again and we both jumps in excitement.

This is really happening now. I'm still in cloud nine. Jeez.

"Let's go for a celebration tonight, Mon." Yuki said while looking to her phone. Baka kausap nya sa chat ang gang. Panay din kasi ang tunog ng phone ko eh.

"Pass. I need to go somewhere." I said, making her turned her head to me and she pouts.

"Come on, Mon. Lagi ka nalang pass sa tuwing may lakad kami. I miss you. We miss you." She said sadly.

I sighed in defeat. "Fine. I'll come. Just text me the address kung saan."

She then smiled widely and ignored me again. She's typing something to her phone then my phone beeps once again. Kausap nya nga ang gang. Natawa nalang ako sa pagiging excited nya.

I can't blame her tho.

It's been 3 years since that night happened.

I busied myself and averted my attention into something else just to forget that night. I started to do my modeling career while studying the Law. It's my father's will although I want it too. He pushed me to do it and now I'm almost in the end.

But I think, it's not helping me. I'm still thinking about her. About how she left me that night. It's still hauting me.

I missed her.

"Mon, you're crying again." I heard Yuki's voice, snapping me from my thoughts about her. I suddenly felt her hug behind me.

I hold onto her arm and leaned my head to her. "I'm sorry if you have to witness my lowest."
