Hola guys everything I have to say will be at the end
Dakota's POV
I spent the next day laying in my bed eating cookies and cream watching movies. I was going to detention late, but not school. My mom called but I just ignored it, hoping the school didnt call her about my absence. I decided I would go tomorrow. Hopefully everything should have died down by tomorrow. Deep down I knew it wouldn't though. I thought about Camereon, how could he not believe me? I am-was his girlfriend and he decided to believe the girl that hooked up with his brother.
I mean really I've never been anything but honest with him. I even trusted him enough to tell him about what I gonna do to Kristi's party. Ohmygod.
Kristi's party. I hope he doesn't tell her. I pulled out my phone and dialed Cameron's number. He didnt answer. Shit! If he tells her then I'm screwed and my whole plan is ruined. Which yet is to be another failure of my high school life. Everything is just going downhill. How could everything thing turn into such a downward spiral in one day? I pulled the covers back and went downstairs to the ringing doorbell.
"Hey Dakota." Jenny smiled at me walking in, Kirsten no far behind her.
"How are you?" she asked weakly.
"I'm fine." I lied. "Everything is just-perfect."
"Dakota, I know you better than that." Kirsten stared at me, worriedly.
"I'm fine. Everything is fine." I repeated.
"You don't have to lie. We're you're friends not your enemies." Jenny cut in.
"I'm not lying! Everything is good, everything is fine. I'm fine!" I yelled at them getting up from the couch and storming to my room, slamming the door. After a while, I heard the front door shut.
I walked into the bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror. My hair was everywhere and my eyes were swollen. My lips are crusted and I'm pretty sure my breath stinks really bad. I looked like a monster. I popped in Identity Thief and grabbed some fruit snacks from the box I put in my room. I ran downstairs to pop some popcorn when I saw Kirsten and Jenny still here on their phones. My mouth formed an o and I quickly closed it clearing my throat. They looked up at me smiling.
I don't get it.I just screamed at them shouldn't they be glaring at me? Shouldn't they be mad and have left?
"Hey." Jenny smiled at me.
I turned around as if someone was behind me, but no one was there.
"You probably thought we left didnt you?" Kirsten smirked at me. "well we didn't."
"Obviously." I murmured.
"What kind of friends would we be if we left you when you had a breakdown? So we let you think we left." Jenny smirked, glancing down at her phone.
"Look guys, I'm-" I started but Jenny cut me off.
"Dakota, there is no need to say sorry we know you're going through hard times right now, and you had a breakdown. It was bound to happen sooner or later don't apologize."
"Ummmm speak for yourself I want that apology now." Kirsten said snapping her fingers which meant she was kidding.
I laughed for the first time all day smiling at my two best friends. "There's the Dakota we know and love." Throwing her arms around me, Kirsten kissed my cheek while Jenny squealed, joining the hug.
