Chapter 23

Hey guys I know I said I would upload once a week but I had a couple of tests I had to study for so I'm trying to do it right now before I have even more. So here you go and I hope you enjoy!

Dakota's POV

IT'S YOUR PARTY DAY IT'S YOUR PARTY DAY! was the first thing my brain shouted at me when I woke up. Jenny and Kirsten came over as soon as they woke up wishing me happy birthday and dragged me outta my bed and Jamie texted and called me to wish me happy birthday and promised he would come over when we were done getting ready for as all he could do is sit and be bored. He said we would torment him with our girly minds. We were all eating some of my moms delicious pancakes. The party started at 6 leaving us a lot of time to try and make ourselves look flawless. I smiled at the thought of dancing around having fun and me FINALLY turning 16. After breakfast we ran upstairs to get started on what they said would take a long time to do. Samara wasn't helping since she was in the care of new boyfriend Ryder! I was ecstatic for her she promised they would be back before any of us left to get a look at her "baby sis". Even though I wanted her to help I didn't complain because just having my two best friends in the whole wide world was the best thing ever. It dawned me the school year was practically over and Samara would be headed off to college. Then I realized I never heard her talk about it. I made a mental note to ask her about it in a couple of days. Then I thought about the day I met Jenny and how she did my hair. I guess I had Kristi to thank in a way kind of if it weren't for her I would've never changed my hair color and I would've never met Jenny.

"Dakota!" I heard Jenny screaming in my ear and I snapped back to earth

"Yeah?" I smiled at her

She eyed me weirdly and said "Why are you smiling at me like that? Why is she smiling at me like that?" she nudged Kirsten

Kirsten gave me and Jenny a knowing look "She was daydreaming which means..."

"What were you thinking about?" Jenny finished for her smiling back. I brought my shoulders up to my face and have them a cheesy grin. "Just thinking about how I met you." I pointed to Jenny

She immediately smiled "I guess we have Kristi to thank for this in a way." I thought and she looked at me weirdly "How?"

"Because the day we met you Dakota was yet another one of Kristi's play toys she poured her latte all over her in the cafeteria and we left and went to the mall to give Dakota a new look!" Kirsten explained

"Oh then I guess we do have this to thank Kristi for this wonderful relationship! I love you all!" she said and ran toward us and squeezed us tight

"I love you too!" Kirsten and I unisoned and we ran over to the window.

"Watch this." I told them as I opened the window and yelled "KRISTI KRISTI KRISTI!" With all my might and kept going until she opened her window with half her hair curled "WHAT!?" she yelled.

"THANK YOU!" we screamed at her hugging each other and she just look confused and slammed her window back down muttering something. We all busted out laughing holding our stomach. We stayed like that for like 2 minutes until we finally got up.

"Alright let's get started." Kirsten said. Stripping down I got in and as the water hit me I drifted off again. I was so happy I was turning 16 nothing could ruin this day for me. I had my best friends, my family and that was basically all I needed to make this day for me. I hope this day was the best day ever I thought and then I started to wash my hair. When I was done I threw on my sweats and tank top. I threw my wet hair in a bun and went back to my room. Kirsten went to take a shower after I was done and then Jenny. They brought everything so they could get ready here. We were gonna start out with some movies first since it was only like 12pm. Way too early too even think about getting ready I decided. We were going to start out with my favorite movie of all time She's the Man. I remember the last time I watched this movie it was with Cameron. That brought a little frown on my face but I forced it away. Today was a happy day not a sad one and I was going to do everything to make sure it stayed that way.
