35. The Overlooked

"Rue what happened, I just got your text." 

Isaac said as I texted him to come outside the school. "She...she took Dad." I said crying.

"Hey love, it's okay. I am here now. We will get him back."

Isaac said hugging me, everyone else was confused by seeing Isaac and me like that but decided to ignore it for the time being. Scott and Stiles told everyone that Jennifer Blake was the Darach and she took our Dad away. Then we decided that Scott, Stiles and I would go and tell Derek about Ms. Blake. Isaac insisted on coming with me, but I told him that with Alphas lurking around it would be better if he stayed. 

As we left for Derek's loft, I called and told him to meet us at his place as we had to tell him something. Derek, reached there same time as us and just as we reached inside, we told him everything. Derek was quite shocked by it but he believed us. Then as we were discussing our plans on how to find Ms. Blake or Dad Derek told us that he could hear her come and told us to hide. 

Once she came, she hugged Derek and told him that something happened at the recital and she needed to tell him something before anyone else does, especially us. She then said that we were going to tell him things, which are not true. Derek played along and promised her that he would listen to her, then she kissed him but after that she realized, that we were already here, so we all walked out. She then asked if we told him that she was the one taking people and Scott corrected her that she was not taking people she was killing them. She then laughed and asked that was she committing these sacrifices in her lunch hour, so that she could go back to teaching for the rest of the day. 

"Where's our Dad?" 

Stiles asked as tears escape his eyes. She refused that she knew anything about that, "You bitch, I am going to kill you." I yelled at her and took out my guns, but Stiles and Scott held me back. Then she looked at Derek with pleading eyes and asked him to believe her. Derek looked over at Stiles and me, tears were continuously running down our face as I still fought with Stiles and Scott to let me go so that I could kill her myself. He then looked back at Jennifer and asked if she knew where our Dad was, but she once again refused, "Ask her why she almost killed Lydia." I said and she again acted surprised and said she didn't know anything. Then asked her what did she know,

"I know that these kids for whatever misguided reason, are filling your head with an absurd story. And one they can't prove by the way." 

She said looking at us Scott then moved forward and took out the bottle of Mistletoe, which we got form Deaton and threw it on her and soon she started changing in her true form for a few seconds but enough for us to prove that she was in fact Darach. Derek was very surprised and betrayed after seeing her like that but when she tried to run he held her in choke hold and took out his claws. Then when Derek asked who she was, she said that she was the only person who could save his sister. Then she asked him to call Peter and he told Cora was in good condition, she had ingested Mistletoe. Derek then got angry and started tightening his grip around Jennifer's neck which was killing her so we started yelling at him to stop, but he didn't listen to us so, Stiles yelled at top of his lung,

"Derek, if you kill her we won't find our Dad." 

Derek looked at Stiles for a few seconds and then released her.

After that she offered to help Cora so we all we went to hospital. Derek was driving in front of us with Jennifer while we were following them, "I don't know, something feels wrong about this. We proved it to Derek, but she still had this look like it didn't matter, like it was all still going according to plan, you both also saw it, didn't you?" I asked and Stiles nodded. Soon we reached hospital and while I got out carrying my guns, Stiles carried a baseball bat with him.
