Around midnight as I was half asleep suddenly my phone rang and I picked it up without looking as Isaac was the only one who called me around this time. "Hey babe." I greeted him but in response, I heard soft sobs, then I checked the caller ID and it was Lydia. "Lily honey, where are you, are you okay?" I asked but again I only heard sobs. "Lydia, where are you?" I again asked.

"I am at the loft."

She said in a shaky voice. "I'll be there in 10." I said and hung up and quickly got out of bed took my bag and keys to the Jeep and left. From the way, I tried calling Derek and asking him if everything was okay, but because of the rain, the signals were weak. I finally arrived at the loft but before going in I took my gun out loaded it and walked in very softly so that no one got alarmed that I was coming. I stood outside Derek's door and tried to listen to what was going inside so that I could have an estimate of if they were under attack and how many intruders were inside but I didn't hear anything. I took a deep breath and finally opened the door ready to shoot anyone in front of me.

"We are okay, Rue. We're not under attack you can put the gun down."

Derek said as he saw me, then out of surprise Brenden came in from behind Derek, wearing one of his t-shirts. I had so many questions but I reminded myself why I was here and made a mental note to pester Derek about this later. "Where is she?" I asked and Derek and Brendan started walking towards his bedroom and I followed them. When we entered his room I saw Lydia sitting on the edge of the bed drenched, trembling and crying. I threw my bag aside kneeled in front of her grabbed her hands. "Lily, what happened?" I asked but she didn't say anything, so I looked back at Derek,

"We were just sleeping and my alarm went off and when we went to see she was here and she just screamed. After that she didn't say a word, she's just crying."

Derek informed me and I looked back at Lydia and cupped her face, "Are you scared because it wasn't a normal scream?" I asked and she melted in my hands and I hugged her tightly.

"I am sorry Derek. I didn't mean to."

She kept repeating after that as I pulled back Derek came and sat beside me,

"I know it's not your fault Lydia, you don't have to be sorry, or feel guilty."

Derek said giving her a genuine smile and she finally stopped crying after that Brenden gave her some of her clothes so that she could dry off and after as we were ready to leave Derek and Brenden stopped us saying it was very unsafe right now as the harmless rain was now converted into a full-blown thunderstorm. We decided to wait till the weather cleared and since Lydia was exhausted and on the verge of passing out, Derek gave her his room to rest, when she protested he and Brenden forced her to sleep and when Lydia still fought, Brenden sent Derek and me out of the room and said that she would come out when Lydia's asleep.

"Do you want some coffee?"

Derek asked as we came out of the room. "Personally I would prefer something strong." I said and Derek smiled and brought out a fancy-looking wine from his collection. I took the bottle from him and started drinking and he sank beside me on the couch. "So you and Brenden?" I asked as he took the bottle from me. He just shrugged in response. "You dog! First, you got into a relationship and didn't tell me about it and then when I ask you, you just shrug. You were one of the first people to know about Isaac and me." I said while stealing the bottle from him.

"Gosh, you win. I am sorry. Tell me, what do you want to know?"

He asked. "Everything." I said giving him a toothy grin, "When, where, how?"

"Peter and I hired her to track the money and we flirted a little but after that, she went away and we had no contact whatsoever, but then when Malia and I were looking for Satomi's pack, we found her there injured and as I saw her laying there half dead, I realized that I care about her, we took all of them to the hospital. Once she was discharged I brought her here. We started to get more close and she was the first person I told that I was losing my abilities so she offered to teach me how to survive in this world like a normal person and during that time we just...you know."
