(Author Note: We are nearing the finale! We want to thank you all for coming along for this journey! Look forward to a 12 pieces of lore coming to Wattpad later this year as we are leading up to the release of Sector Break 2: Translucent Contradictions at the end of 2023!)
"Not the same as water, liquids setting to adapt the shape needed to survive. The ultimate trickster,"
*Several trees come crashing down*
I jump away as Cardinal Zizran gets back up.
"Strange. I can't hit you anymore. You're fighting better somehow...," Zizran says calmly.
"I don't think I'm fighting that well. I feel like I could still die if I take your attacks head-on. But I'm also strangely excited," I reply with a smile.
"By Eden, you understand it! I haven't felt the fear of death ever since I was blessed. The schemes of the Churches mean nothing to me. I want to find a worthy fight, nothing more, nothing less," Zizran explains calmly.
"I'm sorry if I can't help you with that. I know that I can't win if things go on like this," I reply before I spit out some blood.
"Never give up, brave warrior! On the battlefield, the intent is no longer important. Victory or defeat. Kill or be killed. That is all that matters. If you win, can you say you did in pride? If you defeat can you die without regret?" Zizran asks calmly.
"You sure ramble on a lot for someone who is trying to kill me," I respond as I run deeper into the forest.
"You're afraid. Humans can overpower you? Is that really the extent of your worth?"
"I must fight till my dying breath. So, come!" I yell out.
Zizran charges and tries to attack me from several directions. I manage to dodge every strike at the right moment, before landing a kick in his face.
"Oi oi, isn't that cheating?" Zizran asks as he sees me taking off my shoes.
"I never said I was going to make it easy for you," I say as my eyes turn red.
"The Seer's Future Sight? Curious," Zizran says as he sends a distortion wave at me to blind me.
I jump over it before stepping on Zizran's face. Roots grow towards my hand before shooting sharp spikes out of the foot that's on Zizran's face.
Just before he can grab me I grab his hair and jump down in front of him. As his head is pulled down, I jump up and land a flying knee in his face.
"Agh! Dammit, he's even as fierce and fast as a Fennec now!" Zizran roars as for the first time in the fight he's bleeding.
"What's the matter? Can't get another hit on me?" I ask with a smile.
"You're a skilled fighter. I'll give you that. But I'll still win. I've fought stronger opponents than you, and they all fell to my unending power," Zizran responds before pulling a tree from the ground and throwing it at me.
I sidestep it and redirect it straight back. Zizran tries to headbutt the tree to burst through it, but I stop the tree right in front of him. I drop the tree from my control before kicking it when it's on the level of Zizran's gut.
Zizran gets back up, but this time it's clear he felt it.
"Agh, by Eden. I didn't expect to be struggling so much. You're not even the real Seer and I'm taking a beating..." he mumbles as he gets back up.
"I assure you, the Seer is stronger than I am. Even if she doesn't know it yet," I reply calmly as I kick my toes into the dirt.
"Shit!" Zizran yells as I kick the ground towards him causing a barrage of spikes and rocks to shoot at him. He does his best to protect himself.
