"Feel lucky kid, you're almost home," Lux smiled, giving Onyx a pat on the back.
Looking forward, he, along with the rest of the crew, followed General Rass into the building, with Onyx being the last person to enter. As he did, however, he noticed the four guards standing at the front of the citadel follow them inside. Suspicious, but he looked past it.
As they walked through, following the general, they saw a few political workers and maintenance workers throughout the building. All the political workers were the same, those weird amalgam that was those large bug-octopus-beings. Meanwhile, the odd thing was, that all the workers were of a different race. There wasn't a single one of the amalgam race that wore a jumpsuit with dirt, grease, or something else.
Eventually, the team reached a pair of doors, that were HUGE. They went up probably 90-100 feet, and we're at least 50-60 feet wide each.
Before they were able to go through the doors, General Rass turned around and looked at them.
"You are about to enter The Ambassador's chambers. Please remember that any questions shall be saved until you are spoken to, and any slander shall be kept silent or you will be removed. Is this understood?" General Rass asked, standing straight up with his hands behind his back.
"Understood," the crew said together.
After the rules were set, the general nodded and turned back to the door, opening it up. As it opened, a bright light came from the room, blinding the team, but it did not affect the guards.
As they walked in, shielding their eyes from the radiant light that seemed to glow brighter than a star themselves, the light would slowly begin to fade. As it did, the crew took their hands and arms away from their eyes to witness the truly incredible sight of The Ambassador.
He didn't even seem real, he was massive. And not in an obese or tall way, but The Ambassador was truly a giant. Not to mention, his tentacle beard was twice the size of the other ones of his race. The team looked at him with wonder and awe, genuinely curious how such a man could gain that size.
"Ah! Luxflom Olkoro!" his voice boomed, echoing throughout the chamber. "I assume you are here for your information? I have been waiting for my Hydrokyncein crystals!"
"Yes, Ambassador, I've been anticipating this moment. And it couldn't have been done without the help of my newest recruit," Lux informed, gesturing to Onyx.
With a look of surprise and confusion, the Rockatrayen stepped forward, past the rest of the crew, who all looked furious.
"What does he mean without him?!" Neena thought. "We easily could've done it without him!"
"Ah! A Rockatrayen, yes. It is very sad what happened to your humble planet. Primitive, but truly a disaster," the Ambassador consoled.
"Yes... it is," Onyx agreed, looking down. He couldn't tell if The Ambassador was a being serious or not, especially with that 'primitive' comment, but he was right.
"Ambassador Chzoik," Lux spoke, "I believe we are here for business, not for chatter." Placing down the three briefcases he had in his hands, he gestured for the rest of the team to do so as well. "Please, any information is greatly appreciated."
Looking over at his guards, each wearing an armored suit with helmets covering their face, The Ambassador began to chuckle, eventually leading into a full hearty laugh.
Beginning to chuckle nervously himself, Lux looked up at him. "W-what's so funny Ambassador Chzoik?" he asked, placing his hands behind his back.
"I'm sorry Lux... you won't be receiving any information from me, or anyone," Chzoik spoke, his voice now sounding a bit sinister.
