We heard howls and I recognised it as Maugrim. I saw wolves in the distance and I turned to the others.

"They're coming for us!" I shouted."Run!"

With that we quickly ran back to the small house of the beavers. They were hot on our heels. One of the wolves bit my ankle with its sharp teeth.

"Ouch!" I yelped.

Peter heard me and turned around to see me struggling. He kicked the wolf and helped me to the house.

Mr. Beaver as soon as we approached the house told his wife that the secret police was after us.

Mrs. Beaver then began to pack food bags and in packages.

"What is she doing?" Peter asked.

"You will be thanking me later. It will be a long journey." Mrs. Beaver informed."Mr. Beaver gets cranky when he's hungry."

"I'm cranky now!" Mr. Beaver yelled.

"Do you really think we'll need jam?" Susan asked.

"Only if the witch is serving toast." Peter retorted.

The wolves began to tear down the house and try to enter. What now?

"What do we do?" I asked nervously.

Mr. Beaver showed us into the pantry.

"Down here." He said.

There was a rope and a long hole leading to who knows where. Peter lit a torch as we climbed down. It was a narrow and long passage as we ran through.

"Where does this lead us exactly?" I asked.

"It leads to the place of a friend of mine." Mr. Beaver informed.

"You said it let to your mum's!" Mrs. Beaver ratted him out.

I smiled. Busted! At that moment, Lucy fell to the ground grabbing on to me causing me to fall as well.

"Are you two alright?" Susan asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, what about you Lucy?" I asked.

"I'm okay." She said.

We then heard the wolves coming closer towards us.

"They're in the tunnel." Lucy stated.

"Quickly, this way!" Mr. Beaver led the way.

Peter helped me up and grabbed my hand as we ran faster through the tunnel.

We then reached a dead end. You've got to be joking.

"You should've made a map!" Mrs. Beaver scolded.

"There was no room next to the jam." Mr. Beaver explained.

I limped as we reached another passage and we saw an opening. We made it out and as soon as made it out, Mr. Beaver and Peter placed a barrel at the opening.

I fell down and looked at my bloody ankle.

"Does it hurt?" Lucy asked me.

I nodded. I tried to get up, however the pain was too much. I was about to fall, when Peter caught me.

I smiled rather shyly."Erm, thank you."

He smiled back."Not at all."

I sat right back down with Peter's help. I can't walk. Just great! I placed a hand on my bad ankle to try to relieve the pain.

And it was magical! Light from my hand transferred to my ankle and healed it at an instant. The pain was gone, however the scar was still there but it was no longer bloody.
