-Sabrina's POV~

It has been four years since I first came to the orphanage. I was now fourteen years old. Everyone except for Mrs. Burkes were cruel to me. It was all because I was different, I can do magic.

The war had begun and German planes had come across London.

Bombs dropped on many of the buildings. Many of the children were scared as Mrs. Burkes rushed to us.

"We must go underground, now." She ordered.

I made sure that all the children were out of the orphanage. I was about to leave, when a bomb fell near the window. I fell back and covered my head.

"Sabrina!" I heard Mrs. Burke yell.

I lifted myself up and I got out of the orphanage. Mrs. Burkes rushed out towards me and at that moment a bomb dropped before her.

"No!" I cried.

I lunged out and I extended my arms out. I expected pain from the bomb, however I felt nothing. Mrs. Burkes and I were untouched and the bomb had already gone off, but we remained here.

My magic worked in mysterious ways. I have got to learn how to control my magic.

"You are truly a life saver, Sabrina." Mrs. Burkes said."Now come on."

With that we went underground for the entire night. I had bumps and bruises, but they'd heal in no time.

The next morning we were able to go above ground. However our orphanage was gone. The bombing blew it into pieces.

Mrs. Burkes had no choice but to send us off to the countryside where she said we'd be safe.

She gave me my ticket and a tag that I placed around my neck. She gave me a hug which I returned. She had been like a grandmother to me.

"Take care." She said."I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too." I said pulling away."Will I be back?"

She smiled."Once this is over, then you'll come back. No one has adopted you so I was thinking about adopting you myself."

"Really?" I asked.

She smiled."Yes, now off you go."

With that I went off with my things and bordered the train. There I found a compartment with four people. Two girls and two boys.

The older girl looked two years younger than me. She had long brown hair and blue eyes. The older boy looked a year younger than me. He had dirty blond hair.

The other girl had short brown hair and blue eyes. The other boy had black hair and brown eyes.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?" I asked.

"Not at all." The older boy said.

I sat down next to him and he introduced himself.

"I am Peter Pevensie."

"I am Susan Pevensie." The older girl said.

"I am Lucy Pevensie." The younger girl said.

The other boy said nothing and Peter elbowed him.

"What?" He asked in a grumpy tone.

"Introduce yourself." Peter demanded.

"And I'm Edmund Pevensie." He grumbled.

"So, you're all siblings?" I pointed out.

"That's right." Susan said.

That must be nice.

"That must be nice." I stated."Having a siblings who care for you. I am an orphan."

"Sorry to hear that." Susan said.

"Not at all." I said waving it off."I'm Sabrina."

"Nice to meet you." Peter said.

We soon arrived at a stop and this is where I was suppose to go. I walked off the train seeing that the Pevensies were here as well.

"This is your stop as well?" I inquired.

"Oh, what a surprise." Susan said rather shocked as she saw me approach them.

Peter gave a firm nod."Yes, we are suppose to be staying here as well."

At that moment, a woman with an open carriage came towards us. She looked around her fifties or rather older. She had a brown hat on with spectacles.

"Are you Mrs. Macready?" Peter asked.

"I'm afraid so." She replied."Is this all?"

"Yes ma'am." Peter said.

"Well then come along." She said rather coldly.

She soon took us to a large house and we were led into the house as she gave us instructions of what to do and what not to do.

"Professor Kirke is not use to having children around. Therefore, you shall not bother Professor while he is studying." Mrs. Macready said in a sharp tone."There will be no shouting, or running. No improper use of the dumb waiter."

Susan was about to touch a statue, when Mrs. Macready voice rang out and reached us.

"And do not touch any historical artefacts!"

Geez. She soon showed us to our room. We were all staying in one room. You've got to be joking. Then again, I shouldn't complain.

There were three beds, Susan and Lucy took the first, Peter and Edmund took the second leaving me with the third bed. I sat on the bed as Lucy plopped down on her bed feeling sad.

The radio was on talking about last night's bombing which Susan turned off.

"The sheets feel scratchy." Lucy mentioned.

"Wars don't last forever, Lucy." Susan explained.

"Don't worry Lucy, we'll be back in no time." Peter said.

"We'll be home soon." Susan added.

"Yeah, if home's still there." Edmund retorted.

Oh boy. He really outdid himself.

Susan sighed."Isn't time for you to go to bed?"

"Yes mum." He said sarcastically.

"Ed!" Peter warned.

"This place is huge." I said trying to lift the mood.

"We can do whatever we want here." Peter added."It's going to be great."

"No off to bed, all of you." Susan said clasping her hands.

I chuckled."And you think the eldest would do that."

"How old are you, Sabrina?" Peter asked.

"I am fourteen years old." I replied.

"Well then, you are the oldest." Susan said."I am twelve and Peter is thirteen. Now, I'm going to bed."

With that we got into our beds and I looked at the ceiling. I had a feeling that this would be better than being at the orphanage. I had no idea that my adventure was about to begin.
