Chapter 9: Father Christmas

The next day, Lucy woke me up.

"We're going to go now." She informed me.

The others were ready to go and I groaned as I got up.

"Alright, then." I said rubbing my eyes."Let's go."

We made our way to the top of a mountain seeing the entire view. It's beautiful.

"Aslan's near the stone table." Mr. Beaver said."Just across the frozen river."

"River?" Peter repeated.

"Oh the river's been solid for a hundred years." Mrs. Beaver assured us.

"C'mon guys, what are we waiting for then?" I asked.

"But, it's so far." Peter complained.

"It's the world, dear." Mrs. Beaver explained."Did you expect it to be small?"

"Smaller." Susan corrected.

I scoffed."Seriously? Come on guys, with that attitude we won't get anywhere. The sooner we go, the quicker we'll get there."

"She's right you know." Mr. Beaver jumped in."You should listen to her highness more often."

I grinned as Peter huffed out a sigh.

"Alright, then let's get going." He muttered loud enough for us to hear.

We traveled across the land for what felt for days.

"Come on humans, while we're still young." Mr. Beaver teased.

"I don't think her highness, Princess Sabrina is a human." Mrs. Beaver said.

"You aren't?" Lucy asked.

My memories had flown back into my brain and I had remembered most things by now. Mum told us that we mixed, we were a Jinn and a giant.

"I am mixed, I am a Jinn and a giant, but I'm no human." I explained.

"What's a Jinn?" Susan asked.

"A Jinn possesses both magical abilities and beauty." Mr. Beaver explained.

"If he tells us to hurry once more," He said as he picked up Lucy and placed her on his back."I'm going to turn him into a big fluffy hat."

Susan and I laughed. Mr. Beaver then told us to hurry up again.

"He is getting rather bossy." Lucy observed.

I turned and gasped to see mother in a carriage coming our way.

"No, she's coming." I explained."My mother!"

"Run!" Mr. Beaver yelled.

With that we began to run across the frozen lake. I had never run so fast in my entire life.

We ran into the forest and I found an place to hide. It was an opening of a tree.

"Now what?" Peter asked rather frantically.

"In here!" I yelled."Quickly!"

With that we all hid inside as we heard the bells of the carriage coming closer. All of the sudden, they stopped and we heard footsteps.

We then saw a shadow and snow falling down on us. We had to be very still and quiet.

"Maybe she's gone." Lucy whispered.

"I suppose I'll go and look." Peter whispered.

"No." I replied."We can't risk that and end up killed."
