(Louis' POV)
As a boyfriend in general, I'd say I was a pretty good one.
Now, does that mean I never screw up? Obviously I do, it's a given.
And nearly shooting my girlfriend in the head with a nerf gun? Yeah, that was a screw up.
I thought I was safe when she'd just turned back to her conversation with Morgan, like it was no big deal I'd nearly just accidently snipered her. But of course she was just smart and waited.
So this was how I was now, a twenty year old, was being chased around the house because I was scared of a nineteen year old who now had a Nerf gun of her own.
Barely avoiding another barrage of foam bullets, I ducked behind a couch to catch my breath, trying to figure how to catch her by surprise. Gracie was like me in a lot of ways, which is why we worked so well but the one thing weakness she had was the fact that she hated jump scares.
I smiled. Either this was gonna end with me getting shot in the head, or (hopefully) with her giving in and admitting defeat.
(Gracie's POV)
I held the toy gun to my side, in a constant state of readiness just in case he was in the room. I'd been wandering around the house since he'd disappeared, trying to figure out where the heck he could've gone. I'd checked almost all the rooms but every single one had turned up empty so I was beginning to feel more than a little apprehensive.
My boyfriend was well-known for pranks, and I can't find him. These two things will not equal anything good.
I passed through the living room again and Paul gave me a look. "Where is he?"
I sighed, "Trying to figure that out."
"Well get a move on then, we've got a schedule." He said, clipped but not unkindly.
Nodding I walked over to the basement door, which I noticed was slightly ajar and walked downstairs. The thing I didn't like about their basement is that the light switch was at the bottom of the stairs, in the actual basement, rather than at the top. So you had to walk into the actual dark room and find the switch, rather than just being able to not feel like your in a horror film.
I quietly-as quietly as one can anways- walked downstairs and after having been submerged by darkness and regretting immensely leaving my phone upstairs, starting feeling for the light switch. Running my hand along the wall, I tried to find the panel when something grabbed my hand and pulled. Instinctively I screamed.
Louis laughed, pulling me against him before I could move my arm to shoot him. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
I squirmed trying to get my hand free and trying to sound mad. I failed at both "For what?"
"For nearly shooting you." He replied.
"And?" I asked, giving up.
"And for scaring you," He then let go and flicked the switch, flooding the basement with artificial light. Louis looked almost apologetic, if it weren't for the smirk pulling at the edges of his mouth.
I took one step closer to him, smiling. "Alright."
He lit up, "So I'm forgiven? I don't have to live in fear?"
I sighed, "I guess so lover boy."
He sighed, obviously relieved, "Thank goodness, because I was worried-"
I shot him in the stomach. Was it from a closer range, yes. But come on, foam bullets' don't hurt that bad. He dramatically collapsed and clutched his gut. "Cold, little Malik. Cold."
I shrugged, "Revenge is a dish..." Staring back up the stairs I turned back at him, "Come on Tomlinson, or Paul's gonna be annoyed."
