"I'm in love with you... and I'm tired of fighting it"

Sebastian had always thought Leander was the biggest twat in school, but maybe it was him all along. He hadn't got an ounce of sleep the night before because those words were bombarding his mind over and over again.

"Having you like this is worse than not having you at all."

And now he had to sit through Muggle studies, on that Saturday morning, across from Everleigh's desk, relieving the night before while professor Burbage spoke of some stupid muggle author that he did not care about, nor did anyone in there. The only reason they had to attend Muggle Studies on a Saturday morning was because professor Burbage had to fly out of the country the following week and she wouldn't be teaching that class until after the Christmas break. And as a last assignment, they had to do an analysis on a book he had already forgotten about, and the professor was reading out loud for the class some of her favorite quotes of the volume to entice them.

"- I know these will all be stories some day, and our pictures will become old photographs."

Sebastian looked up from his subject book to stare at Everleigh again. Her eyes had been on her desk the whole class so far, refusing a chance to find his. Just as him, she looked like she hadn't got any sleep, the dark circles under her eyes contrasting considerably on her fair skin.

"- We all become somebody's mom or dad. But right now, these moments are not stories."

Sebastian's heart beat faster against his chest, finally catching the words coming out of professor Burbage's mouth. And somehow he could relate to them.

"- This is happening. I can see it. This one moment when you know you're not a sad story. You are alive."

Everleigh's eyes moved upwards, slowly, like she could feel him staring her down. And there they were, gazing at each other from across the room, while the world moved on slow motion.

"- And you stand up and see the lights on the buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And you're listening to that song, and that drive with the people who you love most in this world."

Sebastian's urge to stand up and go kiss her almost drowned whatever consequences he would get out of doing that.

"- And in this moment, I swear, we are infinite."

His heart twitched violently, getting lost in those green eyes he loved so much. Professor Burbage interrupted his thoughts with her high pitch voice and Everleigh looked away from him.

- And on that note, I believe we are done for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and good luck to Slytherins and Gryffindors on their Quidditch game this evening! I'll be seeing you in a few weeks! Good luck with your N.E.W.T.'s!

Sebastian didn't even bother getting his books and parchments from his desk, immediately darting towards where Everleigh was, crossing the distance between their desks before she even had time to get up from the chair.

- Can we talk?

- What do we need to talk about, Sebastian?
