The bridge was gone, and so were the snatchers.
But Hogwarts defenses had been breached.
Which meant that both Rookwood's loyalists and goblins alike could now Apparate inside of the walls of the school.
The Astronomy tower was burning down. The castle was completely demolished on the inside and the outside.
The Quidditch pitch had disappeared into flames and Sebastian could see the podiums falling down into the fire.
Everyone was running around, screaming, crying.
Professors were trying to redirect students towards the One Eye Witch statue, near the Grand Staircase. Leading them through the passage into Hogsmeade.
But they needed all the help they could get to defend the school. However, Sebastian didn't care about the castle. He didn't care about the people. He did, but not... really.
His sole focus was to find Rookwood. He was walking towards the dungeons, knowing that the dark wizard was heading into the repository.
Underneath the school.
It had to be underneath the school. He had seen the machines the goblins had brought, that served only one purpose: to dig in.On his way down, he teared apart every loyalist and goblin that crossed him.
He was cruel.
And merciless with the spells.
He didn't hold back casting any of the Unforgivable Curses. Ominis and Anne shuddered behind him, finally seeing what he had become.
He had promised his sister, long ago, that he would never used dark magic. Not after their parents died because of it.
And he knew Ominis would rather suffer himself than to cast an Unforgivable.
His own family history was messed up enough, after he was forced to cast Crucio on muggles. By his own parents. But neither of them argued with him when he casted the killing curse on a goblin, and used Imperio on another to finish himself.
He was keeping them safe. They had to know he was keeping them safe.Anne cries of pain pulled Sebastian from his darkest thoughts, and he turned around with enough time to see her bending forward, an expression of agony on her features.
Ominis was holding her arm, keeping her steady, but he was shaking, and his face was contorted in anguish.
