- That was interesting to watch.
Anne had closed the book she was reading out loud on her lap while Sebastian was approaching her and Ominis. He still could feel Samantha's taste on his lips so he wiped his mouth with the back on his hand with a swiftly move.
- I'd hardly call that interesting. - Ominis added, a hint of loathing on his voice. - Can you explain to us exactly what is it that you are doing, Sallow? Samantha Dale? Really?
- What's wrong with Samantha? - Sebastian asked, casually leaning against the wall next to them and crossing his arms over his chest.
- Merlin's beard, Sebastian. You are so thick for someone so quick-witted.
- What's wrong with Samantha? Well, for one, she's not Ev... - Anne started talking but Ominis interrupted her.
- We are meeting Everleigh tonight in the Undercroft. Ten. Be there when you are done with your date.
Sebastian simply nodded, walking away from them and into the castle. After seeing Everleigh's face, he had come up with an excuse for Samantha about a twenty inches of parchment he had to do for Defense Against the Dark Arts the next day. Sebastian could've easily done that in less than an hour but his mind wasn't into the Ravenclaw girl anymore. He knew better than to tell Ominis and Anne about his change of heart. He knew they were going to attribute it to Everleigh and perhaps they were right. But he wasn't going to share his thoughts until he had sorted them out. He probably wouldn't share them even then.
He had never done girlfriends. It was a fact known by the entire school. He didn't need one and he definitely didn't want one. The mere idea of someone clinging to his side all day everyday and calling him little puffskein was a nightmare.
- Hey, Sebastian.
One group of fifth year Hufflepuff girls waved at him as he walked past the Great Hall entrance, with infatuated smiles.
- Hey.
He simply responded, resisting the impulse of rolling his eyes at their giggles as he walked away towards the Slytherin common room.
The girls in that school kept proving his point over an over. He was only interested in a good time, not their affection.
But then... why did he stop snogging Samantha after seeing Everleigh today? It was bound to happen.
He liked to sneak around with girls and public settings were his personal favorites to get hot and bothered with them. He knew sooner or later he was going to come across the Gryffindor girl while he was with someone.
And he didn't care. Did he?
No, absolutely not. She made her choice and wanted to stay away. He was not going to chase her.
Then why in the bloody hell couldn't he stop feeling this miserable?
Like he had bloody betray her.
His head started hurting and he felt the urge to duel someone. Yes, a duel would be the perfect remedy for this. Letting some steam out since it didn't work out with Samantha.
He changed his trajectory towards the clock tower. He needed Lucan Brattleby.

- Oh, good! You are here!
Anne seemed always so happy to see her that it made Everleigh smiled. She had entered the Undercroft and headed straight to the couches where Ominis and her were sitting. Anne pointed at a seat next to her and once Everleigh sat down, she offered some pastries from a plate on the tea table.
