*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Rookwood was looking at her like he wanted to obliterate her into oblivion.
But Everleigh's attention wasn't on him anymore.

Her rage had burned deep in her. Until her eyes locked with Sebastian's.
His face was pale. Paler than normal. And he was covered in blood and dust.

And he was looking at her like she was a vision. Everleigh smiled at him faintly and took a step forward.

And as she did, Rookwood's wand raised and pointed at him. Like he had done to her nine months ago, when he had taken Sebastian away from her.
Everleigh stopped on her tracks.
The Dark Wizard offered a smile devoid of emotion, and his loyalists moved around the courtyard, closing on her.

- I don't know how the hell you survived. - Rookwood spoke and his hate was palpable. - But I have the numbers, Miss Grayson. Twenty against one.

- One? - Everleigh's eyes moved to Rookwood and her expression hardened. - Who said I was alone?

A roar in the distance.

Everyone looked at the dark sky, over Everleigh's shoulder. The loyalists shuddered. Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

Everleigh didn't turn around

Everleigh didn't turn around. She knew what they were looking at. And she waited for the dragon to land right behind her. She felt the raw magic emanating from his body, and her chin went up in defiance. Looking at Rookwood.
The Dark Wizard was absolutely enraged. And she could see what his next move was all over his face.

- How did you...? - Rookwood was speechless, and his wand faltered. It wasn't pointing at Sebastian anymore. - Dragons have never fought alongside wizards.

Everleigh didn't answer. She just stared into Rookwood's black eyes. The dragon roared behind her, and the line of loyalists trembled.

- A sack of galleons to whoever brings me her head. And another sack for that beast head, too. - Rookwood voice was a whisper, but the silent was so thick, she heard him perfectly. - You two, with me. The rest of you. Kill these children. And kill her.

And then he turned around, guarded by two loyalists, and entered the school.
Everleigh let him. She was saving him for last.
Her eyes moved over the group of loyalists, especially the ones that were pointing their wands at her friends.

- Any last words?

One of them grunted, towards her. His wand was poking into Natsai's neck and Everleigh tilted her head at him when she saw her friend quiver.

- As a matter of fact, yes. - She made sure she looked at Leander, and Imelda, and Natsai, and finally Sebastian. Especially Sebastian, once she spoke again. - Close your eyes.
