She had to wait for the right moment, she said to herself, as she crouched with the snowball on her hand. Anne, in a similar stance next to her, couldn't help by giggle.

- There they come!

She whispered, as Ominis and Sebastian made their way out of the castle and into the courtyard, which was completely covered in white that morning.
It had been snowing all night the day before.

Everleigh added more snow into the considerable big ball she had, bringing her hands together as she applied pressure to not make it fall apart. Hiding behind the frozen fountain in the courtyard, she waited until the two Slytherin boys were close enough, and she revealed her position, throwing the snowball at Sebastian's chest. Anne, at the other side of her, launched her own ball towards Ominis, that couldn't even protect himself when the projectile landed on his shoulder.

- What in Merlin's name...

Ominis' mouth opened in a perfect circle as Sebastian alternated a look between his own chest and Everleigh's radiant smile. He leaned forward, cupping a bunch of snow on his hands.

- You are so dead, Grayson.

Everleigh and Anne both let out a loud squeal with laughter, using the fountain as protection again when Sebastian's shot came flying towards them. Ominis, on the other hand, was throwing his own snowballs in the opposite side of were they were, creating more chuckles from the two girls, while Sebastian mumbled something about being unfairly paired.
Everleigh kneeled down behind the fountain one more time as Sebastian keep attacking them, relentless, and a little scream came out of her mouth when his snowball almost hit her in the head. Anne bursted into hysterical laughters and Everleigh joined along, adrenaline surging through her veins.

- Alright, here's the plan... - Everleigh looked over her shoulder to get a clear view of Sebastian and Ominis, both approaching them with their hands full of snow. - You take care of Ominis, I'll take care of Sebastian.

They waited a few seconds, until the boys were closed enough, and with a scream, Everleigh and Anne stood up and threw one snowball after the other. But before Everleigh could realize, Sebastian was already towering over her, dangling a sizable ball over her head, while she didn't have any herself. A nervous chuckle escaped her as she lifted her hands, her palms facing Sebastian. The boy had a devilish smile on his face.

- Do you surrender, Miss Grayson?

He whispered, leaning forward, his mouth coming dangerously close to hers, and she felt the butterflies on her stomach flutter around rapidly. She swallowed, and nodded, her palms still up.

- Yes.

Her expression was innocent, she made sure of that. She made sure of making her eyes look soft, and she bit her bottom lip slowly, noticing Sebastian's eyes moving to stare it down. He was lowering the hand with the snowball already, victory on his face. And then she moved.
With a precise motion, Everleigh grabbed Sebastian's hand and pushed it against his face, making the snowball impact on the side of it with a soft thud. She had to refrain from laughing when Sebastian's face turned into a mask of shock.
Everleigh took a step back. Sebastian's looked at her, his eyes shining with amusement. But there was something else. Something primal that made her swallow. She took another step back, and his whisper made her shiver.

- Run, princess. Don't let me catch you. - Sebastian paused, his tone husky. - If I catch you...

He didn't finish, but she knew. Oh, she knew.

She started running through the courtyard and into the outside corridor, bordering it as she looked for a side door into the castle. She ran with all she had, feeling the heat consuming her even when it was freezing out. She hadn't dressed properly, she didn't expect to be out in the cold for so long. Anne and her just wanted to scare the boys, so she had put on pants, a shirt and a jumper. At least she had the common sense to wear gloves.
She should be shivering, she should be bitterly cold. But she wasn't.
