Battleship Bismarck, nighttime

The bright red sky of sunset soon gave way to the pitch darkness of night.

The inky blackness basically made it impossible for anything to be spotted from a few hundred meters away from the ship.

But the captain told everyone on the ship to be ready and prepared for any possible alien ambush.

So there were shifts in effect, with the weapons being manned by a skeleton crew at any one time, in case anyone, or anything showed their heads.

The giant searchlights that the Bismarck was equipped with, beamed off into the ocean, scanning the surface of the water.

Daniel was still sweeping shell casings off of the deck, as he had been for an hour and a half now,

The Bismarck could lay an absolutely massive sheet of lead at any approaching aircraft, but that meant going from place to place sweeping cannon shells off of the deck.

Hans was likely enjoying some shut-eye at Daniel's expense, way down below the deck.

However, of any of the things on Daniel's mind, was the Blonde haired woman that called herself Bismarck,

Her not knowing of Germany, or anything else that related to this warship was kind of strange, and she seemed to look like she was in pain.

One instant she was there, the next, she was gone.

Of course, she looked like a human, but there was something different about her in comparison to any other girl or woman he ever met in his life,

Well, she certainly did look attractive, but the feeling wasn't about that,

She had the same name as the Battleship he was currently on, and the same birthday, and on top of that it was said that she was born in some place called the Iron Blood, which had Germany as a province.

"The Iron Blood is an awfully strange name for a country" Daniel thought

he swept off some 20 millimeter shell casings fired just a hour or two earlier, still warm to the touch, unless they had been drenched by water splashing over the side.

*klinkklinkklinklink!

The shell casing made a rapid clinking sound,

Shell casing hitting things sound really satisfying,

He couldn't help but pick one up, and then drop it to hear the sound,

*klink-klinggg-klingggg

"Hey! Stop goofing off!" An officer shouted from a deck above

Daniel just groaned slightly in annoyance,

He got back to work, using his broom to sweep off the shell casings again.

But the second the officer looked away, Daniel got out his phone,

Sure, there shouldn't be any cell connection for God knows how far,

But, his handy dandy phone had his Sabaton playlist.

"Now to set this bad boy to shuffle..." Daniel said.
