"Is that your rigging?" Daniel said.

Uh oh...

Z23 immediately looked to see the faint silhouette of her rigging, which was still in ship form, in the distance,

It looked exactly like an enemy ship shadowing their movements.

"Can you contact this ship? Is it on any of our radio channels?" Bismarck said.

"I can't! I'm sending messages but it doesn't seem to be responding!" Z23 said.

The giant main guns started elevating, stretching upwards like giant metal fingers.

Daniel glanced out the window,

Kriegsmarine sailors were standing on the outer spotting area, using the mounted binoculars or their own,

And they were standing directly in the soaking rain, without so much as a poncho or anything like that to keep them dry.

One officer in a blue uniform turned around,

Daniel recognized him, from photos

Captain Lindemann!

The captain of the Bismarck himself was standing just outside!

Then...

*BOOOM!

A shot was fired, immediately snapping up the attention of the threesome,

The tracer of the shell arced through the air,

And it smashed into the water, about a kilometer in front of the Z23,

It must've been a warning shot.

"Z23 I don't know what you're doing, but you need to get in contact now!" Bismarck said, a slight level of panic in her usually calm voice.

Z23's face twisted in fear as the main guns elevated to an even higher elevation, adjusting for the lowness of the
previous shot.

"Use your lamps....." Daniel said.

"Spotting lamps?!" Z23 said.

"No, the Z23 should have signal lamps to signal in Morse code.... Right?" Daniel said.

Z23 gave off an almost nervous look, before taking a quick glance at Bismarck behind her,

You could tell the pressure was mounting, despite her steely expression

"It's worth a shot...." She whispered to herself.

Outside the superstructure

The warning shot fell down a bit in front of the unidentified ship,

Despite the harsh weather, the Bismarck could still operate at full efficiency in storm conditions, able to reach top speed, and Fire more accurately than other ships,

A Destroyer could not.

The unidentified destroyer was caught up in the same storm as them, and was splashing around far more violently in the heavy waves and winds,

There would be no way a Destroyer would openly want to sail on these harsh waters,

If it was all the way out here, risking itself being sunk, it would have to be an enemy, trying to shadow them at all costs,
