It's been a couple of weeks since your return to the BAU and things have been going alright. The team has helped solve several cases already, you were all clearly on a roll. You noticed and felt yourself taking small steps in the right direction with yourself and your confidence. Between cases and a couple of times when you've had the chance you and your boss wandered off talking about your performance and how you could maybe handle things differently or he gave you praise for how you did things.

Hotch was asked about why your evaluation hadn't happened yet and he explained to Strauss why that was. She barely understood but still expected it to be done soon, so you and your boss made an appointment to get it over with after you were back at the BAU after this case.

You were on the jet, almost getting ready to land back at Quantico when you were going over different scenarios in your head regarding the evaluation. You've always been so unnecessarily stressed about things like these. Like, out of proportion pretty much. Reid was sitting next to you and must've sensed your energy was kind of off because he tapped your shoulder with his finger, making you take your headphones off. "Spence?" you asked, pausing the music on your face and looking at him. It was always kind of funny with him because you both were barely able to look into people eyes so it never was uncomfortable with him. "Are you okay?" he asked softly, kind of leaning in.

"Yeah, just kind of stressed about my performance review? Just thinking about it."

"You have nothing to worry about I think." He said, shaking his head as he looked at you. His lower lip kind of pouting. He already seemed lost in thought, probably thinking about all the possible different questions and answers.

"Thanks" you smiled, holding out your first for a friendly bump. He gently fist bumped you and put his focus on the book that he was holding.

You put on your music again and closed your eyes, trying to focus on the music instead of what was waiting for you on solid ground.

Everyone quickly went home after arriving back at headquarters, almost the entire office was empty and you were just entering the kitchen to prepare a cup of coffee. Something to keep you up, since it was nearing 11PM. You had just worked on a case for a couple of days and had an especially long day today that started at 7AM. "You ready, Y/N?" a familiair voice sounded from behind you. You quickly turned around with the mug in your hand "yes. Want some coffee?"

"Sure." he stepped forward and started making himself a cup too. You leaned against the kitchen counter, standing next to him. You quietly held the mug in your hands, your chin resting against it. Just as you felt yourself beginning to dissociate, he spoke again. "Don't be nervous. We've talked about this Y/N. It's more of a formality." He said, turning his head to look at your side profile.

"I know. Can't help it." You said, turning to look at him. You bravely worked up the courage to immediately make eye contact with him. There were only a couple of inches between the two of you, both leaning against the kitchen counter. "Is there anything I can do for you?" he asked, drinking from his coffee but never breaking eye contact with you.

"I don't know, is there?" you asked, suddenly feeling bold and shuffling a bit closer towards him.

"I don't know" he breathed, lowering his mug from his chin down to his chest. He gently placed the cup on the counter and looked back into your eyes, taking your cup from you and putting it next to his. Your heart skipped a beat or two and then started beating faster with every millisecond passing. His left hand was resting on the counter, he slowly moved it towards you, gently touching your elbow and keeping his hand there. You were still looking into his eyes, not breaking eye contact. Eventhough this has been more nerve wrecking than anything else you've ever had to do and breaking eye contact wasn't even on your mind right now. You placed your right hand on his bicep, gently squeezing it and holding your hand there, rubbing him softly with your thumb.

He stepped closer to you, closing the distance between you two, his chest gently pressing against yours. You looked down at his lips and back into his eyes only to see he was looking down at your lips. His hand slid up your arm and his fingertips gently brushed over your neck and up to your check, then cupping it with his hand. He leaned in with his head and your noses touched softly "I might know something." he whispered before gently pressing his soft lips to yours, completely closing the distance between the both of you. Your hand tightened on his arm, feeling his muscles move through the fabric of his suit. You leaned into him and kissed him back, standing on your tip toes to get on his level. Kind of. His other hand found your waist and he forcefully pulled you into him even more. His soft lips honestly felt heavenly against yours. You felt his mouth slightly open and he slowly licked your lips, asking for entrance. You granted him access by parting your lips, your tongues immediately finding each other. His left hand traveled from your cheek to your neck and down your back, pulling you into more of a hug.

He began kissing the side of your lips and your cheek, then planting soft kisses down your neck. A soft moan escaped your lips as he threw your head back in pleasure, "ohhh." You felt him smile against your skin as he kissed you there, suddenly feeling a tingling sensation as he began planting kisses to the side of your neck and next to your ear, you felt and heard his soft breathing in your ear and it completely overwhelmed you with pleasure. Your free hand flew to his shoulder and you held on rather tightly as he continued to kiss your neck, switching sides with every couple kisses.

You both were suddenly interrupted by a voice that came from outside the kitchen. You quickly jumped out of each others embrace and each grabbed a mug, you took a couple of steps away from him, when you were so far back that you bumped into the wall with your back. That earned a chuckle from your boss who quickly ran a hand through his and made his way out of the the kitchen. After quickly checking yourself on the camera of your phone, you followed him out of the kitchen and into his office.

"About that-" you said, closing the door behind you. "Let's do the evaluation first, then we can talk." he said. He walked over to your chair and pulled it out for you, you took a seat and he went to sit down next to you.

He grabbed a couple of documents from his desk and put them in his lap, clicking his pen repeatedly as he was going through them. "Actually-" he sighed, taking a deep breath. "Let's do this differently, do you want to grab something to eat? You know, to take the edge off."

"The last time we took the edge of..."

"Well yes, but I'm bringing my papers with me so." He said, holding them up.

"Sure." you nodded.

It was a quick ten minute drive to the nearest place to get some decent food, and of course it was a sushi restaurant. You were informed the place would close in an hour so you had to make it kind of quick. It was pretty clear that your boss had been here before a couple of times as he shook hands with the owner, who was also the cook. The man kindly greeted you and handed you two menus. You definitely liked sushi had only ever gotten grocery store ones, never actual sushi from a Japanese restaurant. Your boss decided that was a crime against humanity and all things sushi related and ordered a couple of rolls without even asking for your opinion. Not that you had one anyway because you didn't even know the names of the rolls.

"I had the cook make the rolls without the sesame seeds because I know you're allergic." He said, looking at the drinks menu and asking if you wanted to share a bottle of sparkling water? You were still trying to grasp the other words that came out of his mouth, "how did you know I was allergic?"

"Uh," he furrowed his brows, his eyes narrowing too. "You said so, a couple of months ago. We were at a sushi restaurant with the team and you told Morgan."

"You heard?"

"Well yeah. You weren't exactly whispering so I heard." He seemed utterly confused at you shock.

"But you remembered?"

"Y/N, I have a pretty good memory, you should know that by now."

You sighed contently as you reminded him of the performance that you were supposed to be doing right now.

He grabbed the papers out of his bag and shuffled through them, "so tell me Y/N..."
