Chapter 3 - The Spade King and his court

After some minutes of travel, we finally started to see at the horizon the famous castle, whereas under us, from the sky, the Scarlet Forest had the appearance of a red clouds sea.

Not even exhausted, after Lancer asked kindly, the birds freed us, putting us softly in front of the castle.

The castle was dark blue, above the entrance, it seemed like the four card colors symbols were engraved, seemed because three of them was ruined by scratches, only one intact and colored, the Spade Symbol. And it was natural to ask Lancer what it means.

As we entered in the castle, guarded by red diamond shaped face elite troops called the Rudinn Rangers by Lancer, he explained that the Spade King was angry seeing the incompetence of the three other kings; and so he decided to take over and rule on this kingdom.

Player-"Your dad must be very strong..."

Gerson-"About that... Some special Darkner appear to guard the fountain created, they are more determined than others. They are called..."

Angel-"Apostles. I like to call them like that. They are special as they are linked to me, the Angel, giving them more strength."

Lancer-"We now have to take this elevator to the throne room. Get comfy. Ho ho ho!"

-Hey! Hey! You said Angel. You speak about the goddess? You know her? Wow!"

Angel-"Of course, because it is me."

Lancer-"Hey! Stop joking!"

Angel-"There is nobody more serious."

Lancer-"But.... you are a knight!"

Angel-"This is my form to interact with the world with more ease. Look at me again but have in your head the Delta Rune."

Lancer-"... Two wings.... a round head... three triangles on armor....

-Ho! Really? It is so cool! We aren't used to have guest..... and of this rank.... we will do our best."

Angel-"No need to be formal, just act as you always did, don't feel pressured."

As the elevator arrived at the right floor, the little boy was still worried about this information.

The door opened, revealing a large room with scorched banners and ruined throne.

On the throne was supposedly the King. He was quite fat, but in same time muscular. Like his son, his face was spade shaped and blue. A black cape covering his shoulder and back. We could have agreed on a normal appearance if there wasn't a whip ending with a spade which one as origin, come from a dark mouth located on the King's belly.

Spade King-"Lancer! What are those fools you brought to me today?! Explain."

Lancer-"They are the Delta Guardians, and they needed to see you about the security... it seems important."

Player-"Isn't a king meant to have a court?"

Spade King-"Shut up! I got rid of that annoying clown and expelled that cat shopkeeper, it is not to earn more annoyance! Now speak before I throw you in jail!"

Gerson-"The balance between Light and Dark is starting to shift, the Devil's Light will soon submerge the Dark Worlds."

Angel-"Indeed, a trio of heroes, the prophecy refer as the Delta Warriors, will come to seal your Dark Fountain."

Spade King-"Concerning. And what am I supposed to do?"

Angel-"Prevent them from doing so. By the way, I feel like there is someone in possession of a shadow crystal here. Who it is?"
