Chapter 22 - A terrible past

Anima came back with all the Darkners she could have saved, her purple hairs floated in the winds as her blue eyes glare through her mask with determination.

Anima-"We can now leave. Close this Dark World. May I ask a question? What happened to the other Dark worlds? The apostles? The councilors?"

Gerson-"We brought them to safety to the Citadel of the Angel, they are in safety, well, apart your friend. About the citizens, we tried to save what we could but some decided to not leave until the end..."

Anima nods with some sadness then speak again.

Anima-"I... hope the sacrifice will not be in vain. I am sure you have good hearts and souls, well apart that lizard girl..."

Susie-"OH Shut up. I tried to use my super healing power! Why you all act like someone can't be replaced?! I mean, hearing you, it seems that some Darkners were picked to do whatever but you can't take some others?"

The angel in her knight form shake her head.

Angel-"It is no that simple... Those artifacts, the crystals, they can be manipulated by me, and the councilors only... I mean, it is about rituals, the prophecy and bonds. That is why I am quite surprised Anima said she could do it. It is unusual."

Anima-"I. I really think it was a mistake that Tapster got involved. Furthermore, it is Bishop who got rid of the mysterious man and cared of the crystal so why does it matter that much? If I do it? The person that is sensed to hold it, hearing you, never hold it and is dead!"

Angel-"..."

Anima-"Ok! We head at your citadel, I will show you what I can do."

The group headed to the fountain ready to dive in, everyone gathering around it. The angel about to return in her divine form and hold everyone in her wings. But at the horizon a blonde haired reindeer monster approach furiously surrounded by a frost Aura.

?-"Susie!!!!!!!! What are you doing?!!!!!! You are siding with them?"

Susie looked scared and worrying.

Susie-"Oh no it is her, hurry up! Do your shit! Hurry up! She gonna beat our ass! What are you all waiting for?!"

I breath then speaks up.

Player-"Angel, dive. Bring everyone to safety. I close the fountain."

Angel-"Okay. Be careful. She seems strong."

Player-"She has no powers in the light world. Or at least I hope so. Now go!!!!!"

The Angel along the Darkners dive in the dark fountain, disappearing in the abyss, being transported to the Angel Citadel.

My soul start to resonate as the fountain lights up.

?-"Oh no you don't!!!!!"

The mysterious reindeer girl wearing a white robe starts to throw icecycles at me that I deflect with my shield, the dark world start to shatter as cracks appears in the ground or horizon turning it progressively back in an abandoned movie theater.

The mysterious girl got even more angry starting to cast a twisting frost spiral attack at me. I thought I was done before a pure light shield appear in front of me. And a whisper came to my ear.

Angel-"I will away grant you my blessing and my protection, hero. Nothing is stronger than the divine....."

I recognized the Angel somehow speaking in my mind and focused even more conjuring my will, a bright light invaded the whole dark world before it was gone, me and that mysterious girl standing up in the ruined movie theater in the west of Hometown.
