After thousands of apologies about her parents from kie to Ivonne and Heyward.Ivonne put food on the table. After dinner the pogues stand up and walk towards cleo's room, pope's old room. Kie stays behind for a while and says for the last time that she is sorry. But Ivonne and Heyward don't blame her, they know how Anna and Mike are. There are not enough air mattresses so the friends decide to all sleep on the hard wooden floor.
It doesn't take long until all the pogues are asleep. Jj has his arms around kie. Kie's head is on his chest. Kie has slept for at least three hours straight. But then she can't fall back asleep. After half an hour of trying to fall asleep, kie decides to go outside. She needs to clear her head. And the best way to do that is to take fresh air. She sets her down at the end of the dock, feet in the cold water.
She's outside for about ten minutes when she hears the dock creaking. She can tell by the way the person steps. That it's jj. The blonde himself puts himself next to her. After a few minutes, kie lets a slight sob slip from her lips. Jj turns his head. Those beautiful blue pearls filled with concern. "kie, what's wrong" "I'm scared, I'm so scared that they're going to take me away again, take me away from you guys, take me away from you" jj swear his heart skipped a beat, hearing her say those words, realizing she wants to stay with him. She wants to stay with him. "I promise I won't let anyone take you away from us, from me. I will always protect you, always." Tears are streaming down her cheeks at this moment. Jj wraps his arm around her shoulder. She lays her head on his shoulder. It's kie who broke the silence now
"Hey Jj" "Mhm?" "You know that I meant it" Jj looked confused "What I said at Kitty Hawk" "Oh, I meant it too" "I love you" "I love you to"
After a moment Kie lay down on her back, jj followed this action and also lay down on his back. "Holy shit, kie look a shooting star" jj pointed to the dark sky that was lit up by the moon. "that's a plane dumbass"
