The week went on, kie still ate, but just less and healthier. For lunch she grabbed a salad but normally would take pizza or a pasta. Or when Sarah had made brownies. She said she didn't want one, when in fact she really wanted one but she just couldn't, because of her mother but also because of herself.

Her mother came worse and worse. Sometimes when it was dinner she wouldn't make one for her, or just send her back to her room. Anna said terrible things to her about losing weight and sometimes she called her names like 'fat pig'. Kie pretended she didn't care. But it broke her.

And kie.

Kie also became worse and worse. She looked in the mirror a lot. She hated how she looked. The shapes of her body. Her ugly smile. Her horrible curls. She felt disgusted in her own body. So she had to get out. So she laughed less. She straightened her hair sometimes, one of the only things she was proud of was her curls but now it's one of the things she hates most. And her body she hated the most, so she ate less some days nothing. But she pretended it was nothing, she didn't want the pogues to be worried about something so small. But it was bigger than she thought and unhealthier than she thought.

The pogues did notice something. That she was straightening her hair. The pogues asked her things about that. But she just said she liked it better that way. The pogues knew one thing that she was proud of her curls, so they thought that was strange. But other than that, they didn't notice anything. Sometimes she was tired but that was it.

The pogues had P.E. it was basket, Jj's favorite. But kie was sitting on the bench, in her normal outfit. She didn't compete.

Kie was not paying attention. Until Jj ran up to her, all sweaty. He sat down next to Kie.

"Why don't you join us?" asked Jj

"Uh, the doctor won't let me, I knocked my ankle over yesterday, it wasn't bad but my mom made me go to the doctor" kie lied. The truth was she just didn't want to walk around in those tight shorts and tight tops, because she thought people were going to comment.

"Uh, sucks"

"Yep" she said and popped the P.

"You know I think you're much prettier with your curls."

"You're still pretty" said Jj quick

"oh..." kie said a little disappointed, all boys wanted a perfect girl anyway, so that meant no ugly curls. 

"I'm just saying" jj said.

It was quiet for a nit.

"So you winning?" kie asked

"Yep, I told you I was the best."

"Yeah, yeah c'mon they need you on the field."

"Look, I'm going to score for you" Jj said with a wink.

Jj grabbed the ball and dribbled to the basket ring. He shot the ball and it went into the ring. Kie cheered and Jj blew her a kiss. He played on. A little further into the game, Jj started to put on a show he did all the crazy tricks, but then he fell right on his face.

Kie burst out laughing. Kie kept laughing.

But then Hailey and Scarlett looked at her very dirty. And she stopped immediately.

So that's how the week went on.

One week later"I 

It was ceremony time.

"Kie maybe you should straighten your hair again" said Anna, she entered kie's room, dressed all fancy.

"Where are you going?" kie askes
