It's been a month since the incident, and Kie is already sleeping and feeling better. The pogues and Georgia were always there for her, but they still treated her like Kie. To them, she was still Kie, their Kie.
But they protected her with their lives, every time they stepped onto the sidewalk, they made sure Kie did not walk on the street side. Every time at a party they kept an eye on Kie. Every time she suggested they go get beer, someone went with her.
Last week they found Rafe in Guadeloupe, they took him and arrested him. Topper and Barry were not arrested, but were held under remand.
At the moment, the pogues and Georgia were sitting on the porch, excpet Cleo and Pope. They were off to the night store for beers and snacks.
Kie and Jj were in the red couch opposite Sarah and John B who were in the blue couch. Georgia sat on the armchair next to Jj and Kie.
Jj and Kie both had their eyes closed, yesterday went late night surfing, it was great but that also made sure they were only in their beds at 3 a.m.
The two's eyes shot open as they heard quick steps coming up the porch stairs.
Cleo and Pope stood there, Pope with two six -packs of beer in his hands and Cleo with two bags of chips and a bag of M&Ms.
"Bro, calm down, there are people trying to sleep," Jj said in an irritated voice.
"Jj shut up, it's important," the brown-haired boy said, which immediately got everyone's attention.
"What is it?" asked the routledge boy.
"Kie..."
Georgia and the pogues turned their heads toward the girl who was still lying on her back in the seat, but when she heard her name she shot straight, a confused look on her face.
"What is it Pope?"
"They got him."
"Got who?"
"You know who."
"No, Pope I don't, who's got who?"
"The cops have... you know."
"Please Pope, be a little clearer. Who is who?"
"You know, the one that . uhm the one who r-." Pope stumbled over his words.
"The rapist?"
Pope nodded.
"My rapist?"
The pogues' eyes widened.
"How can you be sure?"
"He was arrested in front of us."
"What how then, I never went to report anything to the police."
"Uhm, it turns out he tried again last night, but someone saw it happen and was able to save the girl, he escaped and they found him just now."
