Ruby Riott/Natalya- My Person

(Author's Note: Final part of the Ruby karaoke series. Requested by Lazyyy_Alexxiiiaa Major spoilers for The Last of Us.)

"My problem is that I have to keep secrets from everyone. I'm hurting everyone more than I'm helping. So, I will come clean, and whatever happens afterward is not my fault." I kept my gaze on Liv. "After I sang girl crush and talked to Ruby afterward, everyone knows I went to the bathroom. While I was in there, Liv came in. She shoved me against the wall and accused me of trying to steal Ruby from her." 

The girls gasped and talked to each other. As I suspected, Bayley held Sasha so she wouldn't freak out. "I told you not to worry, Liv. Why would you assault Y/n like that?"

"Don't lie to me, Ru. Ever since Y/n confessed, you've looked at her like she was the only woman you saw. You never looked at me like that. How could I assume otherwise?" I noticed Natalya move closer to me to rest a supportive hand on my shoulder.

Ruby scoffed at Liv. "Don't act like you're innocent either, Ruby." Ruby and I looked at each other. She shook her head, silently begging me to stay quiet. "The last time we hung out, we got drunk on my Twitch stream together. After I signed off, we talked, and then you kissed me, made out even."

"You kissed her!" Now everyone knows the truth, and I can only watch everything fall apart. Liv covered her mouth as she teared up. "How could you do this to me?"

I sighed, feeling bad that Liv and Ruby had to find out this way. "I've done enough. I think I should go." I turned to Natalya. "Since you're sober, could you drive me home?"

Being the great friend she is, Nattie agreed to drive me home. "Yeah! Let me get my purse."

I grabbed my things and waited for my friend. "Y/n, wait!" Ruby followed me before I left. "Look, I'm sorry things are turning out like this. I do like you, but I need to sort things out." I sighed and nodded. "Will you wait for me?"

"Yeah, I'll wait."

I did wait. I waited for six months. I never bothered Ruby about it because she had asked for space to think. Ruby had broken up with Liv and wanted some time to herself before she was ready.

Throughout this whole endeavor, I had Natalya by my side. We would hang out and spend time together. Eventually, we got very close. Natalya would come on my streams with me too. We had created a routine with each other. My fans and friends began to make up rumors and theories that we are together. Honestly, it makes sense. I trust Nattie and I feel like we could make it work if we chose that path to go down.

Tonight, we're hanging out at my place. I wanted to play video games, but Natalya wanted to watch a movie. So, we compromised. We watched a movie first. Nattie chose Zombieland. Speaking of zombies, I wanted to finish playing The Last of Us. I finished the main game and wanted to play the dlc.

I made popcorn and then we watched Zombieland. In the middle of the movie, we both reached into the popcorn bowl at the same time. We looked at our hands, then at each other. Natalya swatted my hand. "Get out of here. Don't touch my popcorn."

We giggled together as I swatted her hand. "Keep talking and I won't make more."

When I played the game, Nattie challenged me to do a speed run. I accepted and tried to do it as fast as I could. I ended up finishing it in just under two hours with her help. We high five as the last scene plays when Riley and Ellie are figuring out what to do after being bit. "There are a million ways we should have died before today. And a million ways we can die before tomorrow. But we fight........for every second we get to spend with each other. Whether it's two minutes. Or two days."
