Love is a hard word to define.

It's that aching in your chest you feel around the person you always want to be with.

It's the butterflies in your stomach at the slightest touch.
Sometimes it's the willingness to die for the true love you long for.

So, even though this story seemed to come to a less-than-happy ending, you know that Chuuya and Dazai's love couldn't even be broken by death itself. Chuuya knew he couldn't live without his other half, and there was more beauty in that than some sappy fairytale ending. The Romeo and Juliet romance these two had can only be captured by showing the extremes the lovers would go to for each other. This tale had to end in death for the two to truly be together forever.

Chuuya loved Dazai. Dazai loved Chuuya.

That's all that matters.
