Something I've wanted to mention here for quite a while was the recurring dreams I had as a child, around eleven to twelve years ago. There were only two that I mostly remember and definitely dreamt of more than once. Let's get into it...
The more vivid one was of bugs. It wasn't always the same dream, so I'll tell the ones I remember.
I would be walking down my stairs and on the ledge at the end of the staircase was four or five bowls of different kinds of bugs. It was gross. When I picked up the bowls, bugs would come crawling out from a large hole in the bottom.
Another one about the bugs took place in a hotel room in Florida. I would tell my mother I was thirsty, and she'd reach for the case of water bottles underneath the table and every single bottle was infested with bugs. She'd tell me I couldn't have the water and then I'd wake up.
The next recurring dream happened more frequently, but I only remember bits and pieces.
It would always start the same; in my bedroom. It would be dark except for the lamp on my night table. I would walk towards the night table, and grab a beaded bracelet on it. Once I grabbed this bracelet, it was almost like I teleported.
I would end up in this in-door boat room. I'm unsure of how to describe it. I would be on this big wooden boat in this large, enclosed room. As I would look up towards the sky/ceiling, giant logs would come tumbling down and start rolling towards me.
I don't know why, but this dream freaked me out to no extent.
Recurring dreams (and nightmares in general) had suddenly stopped when my mom bought these special dream catchers. It was like a pink-Himalayan salt rock thing.
It looks something like this...
Though I've never tried it myself, you could apparently put a candle in the whole and it would "take out" "get rid of" or "burn" the bad dreams. That's what my mother had told me.
These things are supposed to help with bad dreams and just cleanse the air in general.
Now back to the recurring dreams, I've done some research about them.
Recurring dreams in children are usually due to stress during the day and are not uncommon. I would say it's safe to assume it's the same with teens and adults.
Anyways, that's it for now, I just wanted to talk about the recurring dreams of my childhood that would often freak me out.
If you ever want to tell me about a weird, funny, strange, or scary dream, go ahead. Or even if you want me to post it in this book (anonymously or publicly, up to you) I think it could be a cool idea!
Have a great day my Dead Livers, and stay gold!
