Avoiding Love, Chasing Love

Epilogue

It had been a three years since Rain and Pai had graduated University and started  their residency.  Rain had chosen Paediatrics as his speciality and Pai had chosen Cardiac as his speciality.  They had both been accepted at the same hospital.

Their relationships were as strong as ever but the dynamics were different.  Rain and Phayu relationship was passionate and explosive.  The fought hard but loved harder.  Many times an argument has ended with Rain storming out to "go live with his Mama", and without fail within the hour Phayu would be at his mother-in-law's begging Rain to come home.  Once home they always passionate make up session.

Sky and Pai were not as dramatic as Rain and Phayu but they had their own way of arguing.  It involved Sky going very quite, and then everyone in the house running for cover.  Pai normally had to approach him with care and a massive plate of food.  

Pai and Sky now live in the Major home with his parents, while Phayu and Rain live in the minor home.  Pete and Porsche loved having their son-in-law's live with them, they loved to look after them after long shifts at the hospital.  Their sons, were with their Fathers most of the time and learning the business from them.  So have their son-in-law's to talk to was a god send.  

One day Rain came home very quite, Pete was worried because normally Rain ran in exploding with stories of his little charges at the hospital.  But he came in and gave Pete a hug and went to his room telling Pete that he was very tired and just wanted to sleep.  He refused to come down for dinner.  When Vegas and Phayu came home, Pete rushed to Phayu to explain his concerns about Rain.  Phayu went to his room and found Rain on the bed.  He crawled up and cuddled into Rain, "What's wrong babe" he asked.  Rain was silent for a while and then he turned to look at Phayu, he had tears in his eyes. "I lost my first patient today" he said, "It was the little boy, Leo, he had cancer.  His little body just gave up today".  Then Rain cried, and Phayu held him.  He knew that the little boy was Rain's favourite patient.  Rain felt the loss at lot but thanks to the love of Phayu he made it though.

When Sky experienced  his first loss he called for Pai to come and get him.  He threw himself in Pai's arms.  "I lost Mr Suwanjind today".  Pai held on to Pai, "He was fine one moment the next he was gone.  It was an heart attack". Pai was racked with guilt that he had missed something, but after talking to Pai and his mentors he realised that some times it is just that person time to leave.

They worked harder to become better doctors and making their husbands proud.  And they did, the whole family were proud of their little doctors.  Rain and Sky became top of their residency, not long after they were teaching their own trainee doctors.

Two years later 

Sky and Pai were at the hospital finishing a check up for their first born, they welcomed their son three weeks ago.  Pai was even more protective of Sky and now their son.  They named him Korn after this Great Grandfather.  Sky was looking his husband holding their husband trying to settle him.  "Sky, he really dose not like being undressed to be weighed" Pai said, "Can't they do it with his clothes on?".  Sky just shook his head as he looked though the paperwork. Sky pregnancy was like a text book, he was even tempered and just got on with things.  He worked right up until the birth.  Pai on the other hand was a nervous wreak, panicking over everything.  He even fainted at the birth, a fact that the family still tease him about.  

Suddenly Sky phone rung, "Hello?" he answered, "Sky? Rain's water has just broken, we are on the way to the hospital" Phayu said, he sounded flustered.  "The family are also on their way"

Sky told Pai the good news and they rushed to the the maternity ward.  One by one the rest of the family arrived, waiting for Rain.  

Rain found out after Sky that he was also pregnant and at first Rain had a straight forward pregnancy, even though he did suffer a lot of morning sickness . In the last month his blood pressure would sky rocket and lead Rain to have fainting spells.  So he was put on bedrest.  The problem was that Rain was not a great patient and it was lucky that the people around him loved him so much to put up with his temper.
