We had finally arrived in Korea. "I'm gonna miss Daffy." Meadow grumbled. "You can call her. One of my best friends, Serim has a daughter, Hwiyoung who is as active and friendly as you. You can be good friends! We're moving in." I comforted her. "Yay! Hwiyoung's going to be amazing!" she laughed. Meadow was an active, people person. Lorraine as usual, was learning Korean, stuffing her face in a big book. Stampy started the car and we drove to Serim's apartment.

After we got there, Lorraine spoke in Korean to my best friend. "Uhdtukge jineseyo?"she greeted. (That's how are you.) "Ne, jal jitneyo." Serim replied. (I'm doing good.) "Annyeong! Juhneun Hwiyoung yiehyo. Sunghamee uhdtukge deseyo?" (Hi! My name is Hwiyoung. What's yours?)Hwiyoung questioned. "Juhneun Lorraine yiehyo." Lorraine responded. (My name is Lorraine.) "Okay stop speaking Korean! It's freezing here!" I totally lost it and began to groan. "Your daughter's a genius! Fancy knowing how to speak Korean!" Serim marveled. "I can speak Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu as well." she beamed at her and went in. "Xiang yao he shen me?"(What do you wanna drink in Mandarin) "yi bei mei lu." she responded happily. "Tian cai!" (Genius) Serim praised. "Gamsahamida." (Thank you in Korean) Lorraine thanked her.

*time skip to when Meadow, John and Lorraine are Year 9 aka Secondary 1*

It was my 34th birthday today but we had to leave Serim's home today. "What a pity. I'm going to miss Hwiyoung, Auntie Serim, Gwangbak, Hobak, Eun Kyung, Heeyoung, and most of all, Il Choo!" 13-year old Meadow squealed. "All you ever think about is the school heartthrob." John laughed. "Hey! At least it is a break from Lizzie and Abbie!" Meadow scoffed. "Anyway, apart from that, I'm excited to see Daphne again. It's been 8 years since I've saw her!" A smile came on her face and she continued packing. When we all finished, we shouted,"Annyeong hee kye seyo!" (Goodbye in Korean)
