  Lorraine's POV
I went home after going to Caleb's house and lay on the bed. "Hey. You've got to watch your back now! I think your boyfriend is a player." Mum explained, opening my room door. "Why Mum? I mean, we just met a month and all, but then we trust each other a lot!" I blurted out, shocked. "Lorraine, you are a bit naive when it comes to relationship matters! That guy just hugged that girl, and kissed her! You really better watch your back!" she chided.

I was stunned. I mean, you do need the mutual trust between two to be together. To be careful, I sat on the bicycle, and pedaled to the his house. My heart was racing. I had liked him so much, and he felt the same-it couldn't be all gone. It couldn't be true. Finally, I got off the bicycle, and hid behind the big bush. And what flashed before my eyes was the truth.

And the truth always hurts.

Meadow's POV
We got to our hotel and unpacked our stuffs. Jayden and I had a bit of time before we went to the music show. Once we got in, Jayden started jumping on the bed. "Hey man! Get down from here!" I laughed, and started unpacking. As I started unpacking, my phone rang. I got a text from Jayley. I checked my phone, and it said,"Give me £10000 for bailing out my parents." I replied:"I'm in Los Angeles with Jayden. I can't give it." After that, I finished unpacking and took a shower to freshen up.

As I finished my shower, there was food on the table. Jayden was having some pizza, and left a bowl of chicken noodle soup for me. "Hey, I ordered room service. We don't need to go out for lunch. Let's have a stroll in the park." he suggested. I sat down and slurped it up. "Hmm... yeah. You brought your guitar with you for later, so maybe we can do some busking to practice your vocals!" I chirped happily, excited about my brainwave.

"That's a smashing idea!" Jayden cheered. "Let's go to the park now!" So we grabbed his guitar, took a cab to rent a microphone, and took another cab to the park. We sat on a park bench and held the bunch of music sheets. He was singing 'Counting Stars' by OneRepublic. We worked out the chords together and tried a few times. Finally, after the tenth attempt, we succeeded in playing the whole thing. "Okay. Now we just have to sing it." I decided.

"Let's start with the first part of the chorus. Lately I've been, I've been losing sleep, dreaming about the things that we could be." I sang. "'Lately-No! It's so out!" Jayden groaned. "You can't do that on stage! You passed the closed-door auditions. How did you do it?" I chided. "Well... whenever I feel stress, I seem to do better. Could you give me stress?" he asked. I cupped my hands over my mouth, trying not to laugh. "Imagine you're sitting on your chair, with the guitar in your hand. Everyone looks at you with a death glare in your eyes, urging you to start. The judges are on the seats. Should you sing marvelously, anyone of them could press the button, and you could be their student." I said, in a creepy tone.

Suddenly, it was like my words did magic, and he actually sang the whole song perfectly.

I see this life like a swinging vine,

Swing my heart across the line

And my face is flashing signs

Seek it out and you shall find

Oh, but I'm not that old

Young, but I'm not that bold

I don't think the world is sold

I'm just doing what we're told.

I feel something so right, doing the wrong thing.

I feel something so wrong, doing the right thing.

I could lie, (3X) everything that ***** me makes me feel alive

Lately I've been, I've been losing sleep,

Dreaming about the things that we could be.

Cause baby I've been, I've been praying hard,

Sitting, no more counting dollars we'll be, we'll be counting stars.

Sta-a-a-a-a-ars.....(2X)

He finished the song, and blushed. "Was I too quick?" he asked sheepishly. "No! We even got $20 already!" I squealed. "Stress is helping you. All four judges will turn for you tonight!" I laughed. We hi-fived and continued with our practicing. A teenage girl left a note on the black container we put and quickly scuttled away thankfully. I picked it up and read the note.

Give me that sum of money. I've sent some people after you if you don't hand it in after 2 weeks. We need it desperately. This is probably what your dad owes my mum, and what you owe me.

Jayley

I stuffed the note in my pocket and checked the time. It was 6:30. "Let's go. It's time to go for dinner and then to 'The Voice.' I can't wait!" I shrieked.

*time skip*

I was in the little sitting room that we always had, and I was watching Jayden from a mini TV. I closed my eyes. I did not dare to see what happened, and I only concentrated on his face. The music started playing. He sang the first line. Nice one, I thought. He continued, and I was on the verge of tears. No one had turned yet! I was getting very, very worried. After that, he totally ruled the stage. He broke into a rock 'n roll style that I didn't know he possessed. Immediately, all four judges pushed the button.

My tears of sadness became tears of joy. I was jumping up and down and doing cartwheels all around the place. I'm proud of you, Jay. I'm proud of you. I thought and clapped along when he finished singing.(brace yourselves, guys, the feels are coming!!!!) "Woah, what's your name?" one of the judges asked. "My name is Jayden Middleton, and I am 19 years old. I live in London, and I have a girlfriend called Meadow." he smiled, moving around restlessly.

After the judges asked him, he put his hand up for silence. "I would like to say something to my girlfriend. The surprise I kept from her, I'm going to reveal it now, that cute red box I've been hiding." he smirked. He began,"Meadow, I'm staying in LA to train for about 1 year. But 1 year later, I hope you won't forget me. Because I'm going to ask you a question that will change your life forever."

He got down on his knees, and got out a tiny, red, heart-shaped box. He opened it. Everything seemed to be going in slow-motion.

"Meadow Garrett, will you marry me?" he asked.

Oh my gosh. I didn't know what to say.

AN:
I'm leaving it to you. Is Meadow going to agree?
