Actually I'm Not Really Sure Yet.

Meadow's POV
I flung my school bag on the floor and sat myself on the couch without even saying hi to Mum. "Hey sweetie, what's wrong? I can tell. You're quite grumpy today, aren't you? Judging by your expression." she asked. I gave her a 'Uh-huh.' look. I saw a brown book on the table. I picked it up and started reading. It was a story about my mum and my dad, saying about how my dad lost his memory, and about how he fled to Shanghai.

"Hey, Mum, is this true?" I questioned, waving the book in my hands. "Yes," she said, blushing. "Your dad and I were a weird sort. I penned down our adventure." Wow. Mum and Dad had been through so much! I guess..... he kinda hurt her, but it was alright in the end. That love story got me thinking about Jayden, whether I should give him a chance.

"Hey, Mum......" I asked.

"Yes, Meadow?"

"Do you think that I should give him a chance?"

"Give who a chance?"

"Jayden Middleton, the boy who is the head of our school gang." I said, hoping for a no.

"Oh Meadow," she sighed, sitting with me on the sofa. "I'm not going to say no, but I just want to tell you, love is unpredictable. Like your dad and I? If you really want to take this risk, you probably want to help him change his ways. It's okay if you don't want to, but I don't think that someone would be so devoted to you."

That got me thinking. Why was it so hard to make a decision? I.....guess I would give Jayden a chance. I would tell him tomorrow at school. I saw Lorraine and John in the room, bruised and battered. "Thank God for your pepper!" both chorused. I plopped myself on my comfy chair and tore out a piece of color paper to write a note to Jayden.

"Hey, you writing a love letter?" John asked teasingly. "No, Mr Act Cool guy." I retorted, finishing the letter. "It says, Dear Jayden, I have made up my mind and decided to give you a chance for liking me. Sincerely, Meadow! Eeeeeewww!" Lorraine and John laughed. "Shut up!" I whined and stuffed it in my bag. "Calm down girl, you need a chill pill. Here you go." he laughed, handing me a packet of my favourite Tic Tac's. "Thanks! Don't tell the whole school that Jayden and I like each other!" I sneered, popping the 'chill pill' in my mouth.

"Sure." John agreed and finished his homework. "I've finished my homework at school, so I'm going out with the gals." I said. I went to change into a red shirt with some denim jeans and a black beanie. Finally, I put on some light makeup and slung my sling bag over my shoulder. "Later!" I shouted as I burst out of the room, informed Mum and cycled to the mall quite close to my school.

I had finally reached the mall and parked my bicycle at one corner. I hopped off and saw my friends at a cosmetics shop. "Hi guys! What should we do first?" I asked, running over to them. "Let's go to the arcade!" Kayla suggested. "You love games too much." Kylie pouted. "My little sis reads too much. She needs to chillax." she retorted and ran to VirtualZone, the arcade that she loved so much.

Suddenly, I saw Jayden and his gang of 'brothers' walking towards us. I ignored him but secretly slipped the note into his pocket. We went to the 'Dance Evolution' game, where you were supposed to dance along to the beat. I chose 'Boom Clap," by Charli XCX, from The Fault In Our Stars. I loved it. The lyrics are:

That got me thinking about Jayden. I really needed to stop thinking about him! Suddenly, a guy with black hair and smooth white skin ran over to me. It was Jayden again! "Hey, Meadow, I've cleaned up my act and left the gang. And I promise to change my ways. And.... I like you. So..... will you go with me to watch The Fault In Our Stars tomorrow? I'm sure you'll hear the song you were dancing to." he asked.

"Em.... I'll text you in the evening when I've made up my decision," I muttered and ran off. "Come on guys let's go!" I dragged Zoe and the rest to a nearby boutique. "Why didn't you say yes?" Zoe asked. "He let me down so many times, bullied my sister and stuff like that? I am so confused!" I scoffed, feeling a little upset now. "Well, if you like him, just say it! Don't let anything else get in your way!" Now it was Kayla's turn to scoff.

Well, I did like Jayden.... a tiny little bit? I guess? Oh well. "Girls, let's just.....er...... go get milkshakes alright?" I asked, trying to change the subject. I got a vanilla one, while Zoe got a strawberry one, and the rest wanted chocolate. After that, I went home. I was having a serious case of crush-itis! I flung my bag on the floor when I got home.

Mmm...... I could smell Mum's homemade chicken rice cooking. That familiar smell was so.... tasty! "It's your famous chicken rice again." I laughed. "Yep," she said, and put the chicken rice on the table. "Enjoy!" We all sat down at the table. Chicken rice was really my favourite! I dipped a little soya sauce inside with a little chili, and savoured every last bite.

"Oh... That was good. I'm going up to record a video with Dad and Uncle Squid and Wizard Keen!" I cheered, taking a glass of Milo from the counter. "Yep. She's supposed to be Darla, the water droplet that is starring in the 'Wonder Quest' series." Dad chipped in, his face glowing with pride. "Step on it. Tomorrow's Saturday, so no school!" John whooped. "Aw yeah, that's amazing!" I laughed and went upstairs with Dad.

We finished the video, and Dad and I hi-fived. "Night sweets." he said. "Night." I replied smilingly and went to my bedroom to text Jayden.

J- So.... Have u agreed 2 it?

M- Yea.

J- Yay! Let's go for dinner after that. Wanna remind ya Mum or Dad first?

M- K. Text you later! :D

Jayden's POV

I was so happy! She actually said yes! I was jumping up and down on the bed. My heart skipped a beat. Dad came in and asked,"Jay, you madman! What you doing?" "Meadow said yes! She really really said yes!" I screamed. Like me, Dad was also freaking out and jumping on the bed. Then, Mum came in. "Boys! Stop! You're waking the whole neighbourhood! Gosh!" she shouted, but I could tell she was trying to hide a smile.

Finally, she cleared her throat and said,"Jay, go to bed soon. No staying up before 12. Dan, come here. You guys never grow up!" Dad quietly obeyed Mum, tiptoed to their bedroom and sneaked a wink at me as he went out. I winked back as I lay down in my bed, a big, dorky smile plastered to my face. Today was so amazing! I was so elated for tomorrow!
