"It's so..." Rhea was at a loss for words.
"Beautiful?" Varun asked, a slight smirk on his face, gazing at her intently.
She refused to meet his eyes. "Well, yes, one of the many adjectives you could use.."
"Do you like it?"
"Ofcourse, it's absolutely picturesque", she said, her eyes gleaming, as she soaked in the beautiful sunshine. "Who wouldn't love it?"
The blue water glimmered as it were made of a million diamonds. The splash of the waves hitting the rocks was so pleasant, she could listen to it all day long. The sand was an abode to thousands of sea shells, that she made a mental note to collect. The only downside was it was crowded.
"Where are we exactly?"
"Baga beach, in Bardez", answered Varun. "It's a popular tourist attraction, and the band's performance is on the beach at night."
"That is so cool!" Rhea said, clapping her hands in excitement.
"Yohooo love birds!" Virat called, wolf-whistling. "Do you guys mind getting down? We have to make an extra reservation for the both of you, remember?"
Varun groaned and muttered under his breath,"Why can't he leave us alone for sometime?"
"Did you say something?" Rhea asked.
"Nope", said Varun, popping the "p". "Let's get down before your ex boyfriend makes some snide comments about the two of us."
"Stop refering to him as my ex boyfriend", said Rhea, irritably.
"Well he is", argued Varun. "He makes his presence known every few minutes using his nasal voice."
Rhea put her hands on her hips, suddenly very tired of Varun's behaviour. "You know, this attitude isn't going to help."
Varun stepped closer to her, bringing his face close to hers. Rhea blinked furiously. She was intoxicated by his very presence. Her heart fluttered and accelerated. "Which attitude will help, then?" Rhea's thoughts were incoherent, and she panicked as she tried to gather her thoughts to form an answer; she wanted to be both funny and sarcastic, but she just ended up exhaling.
Bhavesh cleared his throat loudly. Rhea and Varun jumped. Varun swore. These guys will never leave me alone with her.
"The bags aren't gonna carry themselves, you know", Bhavesh said, matter-of-factly.
"Whatever man, let's just get this over with", said Varun, running his fingers through his hair, in frustration.
They stepped down from the jeep, and carried the bags towards the hotel where they were staying. It wasn't a grand one, but it was nice all the same. The lobby was clean, and the floor was glistening. A grand chandelier hung from the roof, below which were couches for people to sit, relax, eat. Rhea could spot many foreigners around her.
They approached the reception area. The receptionist smiled at them and said,"Hello and welcome to Hotel Kohinoor. You must be "Agaaz", the band who is supposed to perform here in three days?" She looked at them expectantly. Bhavesh smiled and nodded, "Yes, that would be us. Is the drum set here?" The receptionist smiled and said,"It is already in your room, sir, and here are your keys." She handed him a bunch of keys for four rooms.
Bhavesh glanced at Varun and Rhea before continuing,"Actually, we need two more rooms, for our friends here."
The receptionist looked at her computer and typed something. "Sir, I'm sorry but at the moment, we don't have two rooms available."
