"What the hell?!" Salem laughs.

"Ugly fucking doll," Sello says, face scrunched in disgust.

"Who wants that?" Sunday giggles.

I look around at them, too scared to react.

This isn't real

This cannot be happening?!

I told you, Lex.

What?

This is what you get

N-No- I-

I told you I'm going to be here until you don't have a life, anymore.

I panic as I slowly rise from the table. Jake has now taken Chucky out of the box, and the ginger-haired doll is on their lap.

"He's cute." Jake giggles, running his fingers through his red locks.

"What are you naming him?" Sello asks, having a staring contest with his unmoving blue eyes that I've seen move before.

"He said his name was Chucky. Didn't he?" Jake says.

He shakes the doll lightly, and he blinks in response.

He turns his head to face me, and giggles.

"Hi! I'm Chucky, and I'm your friend till the end. Hidey-ho! Ha ha ha."

Jake awes and Salem rolls his eyes. Sello and Sunday look on in disgust.

I wipe a tear from my eye.

"I gotta go," I tell them, running to my room.

__________

Jake raises their eyebrow as Lexy leaves.

"Is she okay?" Jake asks.

Sunday slowly rises before Salem pushes her back down.

"Stay here. She'll live."

Jake inspects the doll closely, running his fingers over the doll's plastic skin, colorful overalls, red hair, and perfect eyes.

When Jake gets to its forehead, they notice a small patch of skin peeling.

"I-I'll be back." Jake stutters, squeezing Sello's hand under the table before running off.

Once out of view, Jake ducks into a bathroom and slams the door shut, finding something to hold it closed since there wasn't a lock for safety reasons. Once the door was blocked, Jake turned to the doll and searched for the loose patch of skin.

Jake slowly trailed his fingers along the doll's facial structure, carefully peeling back the piece of airbrushed-painted plastic. Once he got ahold of it, they began pulling it back. Slowly, more and more skin came off until the doll looked almost human-like.

The eyes were a bit bigger, the freckles were more clear, the skin was less shiny, the eyes looked sunken and dull, and the lips looked realistic. Jake, now a bit shaken up at this, slowly rose from the floor. He shook the doll, muttering swears under his breath.

The doll stayed still, not moving.

"What the fuck..?" Jake whispered, inspecting the doll.

Suddenly, the doll blinked to life, icy eyes staring into Jake's soft green ones.

"Hi! I'm Chucky, wanna play?" He asked, voice more louder than before, but still the child-sounding one.

Jake yelped and threw the doll, standing up as fast as they could. They run to the door and begin to push their barricade out of the way. Once it's unblocked: Jake takes a second glance at the doll that is now lying still on the floor.

Running out of the room, Jake slams the door shut behind him and runs away to Lexy's room.

"Lewis!" A man's voice rings.

Jake stops suddenly, leaning onto the wall for support.

Fuck! Why'd he run?

Suddenly, a man in all white appeared in front of him. He crouched down to be at eye level with the teen on the floor.

"Jake?" He asks, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Jake shook his head, sweat forming on his forehead and dripping down his temples. The man places an arm under Jake's legs, and an arm around his shoulders. He picks them up and leads them to an infirmary.

He lays Jake on a bed and begins searching for anything he could find that's useful.

Although Jake was breathing hard, he couldn't feel himself getting any air in his lungs. Their chest rose rapidly, and his vision became blurry.

Suddenly, the infirmary door burst open.

"Mr Williams, what on Earth?!" A woman yells.

Jake can see their mouths moving, but his ears are ringing so loud he can't hear a single thing.

Jake's head falls back as dots flood their vision. He feels themself begin to lose contact with the world and his body.
