Movie night - SOFTWILLY

We were all gathered in the movie room about to watch a movie but we were all arguing about what to watch. Tanner and Larry wanted something funny, Yumi and Isaac wanted something more actiony and Nick wanted something to do with anime. I just stand off to the side watching something on my phone and let them bicker since it didn't matter to me what we watched.

"Y/n, what do you wanna watch because I don't think we're getting anywhere by doing this." Isaac looks over at me and I just stare at him.

"Doesn't matter to me," I say and look back down. This answer doesn't satisfy them and they all sigh.

"Come on, just pick something," Yumi says, flopping down on the loveseat couch.

"Fine." I think for a second and then smile when I come up with a movie. I don't tell them, I just pick up the remote and start to look for it.

"Oh my god, no," Isaac says, trying to take the remote from me but I race around so he couldn't get it.

"You asked for my opinion so now you're stuck with this." I set the remote down on the table.

"Dude, are we actually going to watch Shrek?" Yumi questions, narrowing his eyes at the TV.

"Oh come on, it's a good movie," Larry argues and Tanner nods.

"See! Some people think this is a good movie, unlike you idiots." I motion my arm toward my two supporters.

"Whatever man," Isaac says and everyone else sits down as the movie starts.

"I'm gonna make some popcorn." Nick gets up and goes downstairs. Since we knew it wasn't going to take a long time, we didn't pause the movie.

I took the other cushion on the loveseat and waited for Nick to come back upstairs. After a few minutes, he came back in carrying two bowls of popcorn. He set them down on the table in front of us and went back to where he was sitting. I saw him smile at me in the dark room.

About 20 minutes into the movie, I started getting cold. Nick had noticed because I felt a presence over my left shoulder.

"Are you cold?" He asks me. His warm breath tickled my ear and I shivered slightly.

"Just a bit," I answered, not taking my eyes off the screen.

"Lean back." He tells me so I look at him. He's looking at me and his legs are apart, making space for my body. I smile slightly and lean into him. I immediately feel the warmth from his body on me and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. He wraps his arms around me and I relax, letting him be my support and source of heat.

Throughout the movie, he would play with the rings on my fingers, fiddle with my bracelets, put his head in my neck, and just hug me tighter to him. I was so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep on him about halfway through the movie.

I woke up to me still in Nick's arms and him running his hands through my hair. Everyone else had left since the movie had finished since the room was fully dark with the only light coming from the hallway.

I grab his other hand that was still resting on my stomach.

"Oh, you're awake," Nick says and stops what he was doing.

"Sorry I fell asleep on you," I say, playing with his fingers in a nervous manner.

"You don't ever have to apologize for that, I don't mind it at all." He moves his other arm to wrap it around me again and he grabs my hands."You wanna go to your room to sleep?"

"Yeah, I'm ready to sleep till noon tomorrow," I say and he laughs.

As I'm getting up, he jumps up and puts his arm under my knees and his other arm under my back and he picks me up bridal style.

"Nick, I can walk there, you know?" I say but ultimately wrap my hands around his neck for more safety from falling.

"Yeah but where's the fun in that?" He looks down at me and smiles.

We reach my room and he pushes my door open. He then sets me down on my bed and pulls back the covers so I can get under them.

"Can you stay with me tonight?" I ask, not letting go of his arm as he starts to walk away. He looks at me like a new episode of his favourite anime just came out.

"Of course." He pulls back more of my blanket and slips into bed with me. His body warmth returns and I can't help but just gravitate toward it.

He laughs and I can feel his chest vibrate as he does when I move to him. We're facing each other and he wraps his arm around me.

"Goodnight Y/n." He whispers.

"Goodnight Nick," I say and we fall asleep.
