After dropping off the Caretaker and Franklin at Torchwood for the time being, the TARDIS cruised through the time vortex, set on free flight while the Protector changed in the next room over. Jessie sat by the door, waiting for her to finish. She could hear the Protector mumbling to herself about her new choice of outfit through the wall.

"OOhhh, brilliant choice...and then we'll button that up...ah yes, THAT is a must-have!" She heard through the wall.

Looking high and low around the Tardis, Jessie is still baffled by the Tardis. Just moments ago, her small world was shattered by the existence of extradimensional aliens that had been controlling her dreams.  Now, traveling inside a small box that's bigger on the inside, Jessie's mind was the brink of breaking.

"Red! No, blue...No red! Alright fine, blue!" The Protector continued talking to herself.

"I..." Jessie stammered. "I don't understand. I don't understand. How is any of this possible!?"

"Alright, I think I'm ready!" The Protector shouted. "Jessie, are you ready?"

With confusion, Jessie lies on the ground as her head as spinning. "...I wasn't ready."

"Oh nonsense, here I come!" The Protector opens the door and rushes into the console room with all the excitement of a teenage girl trying on her prom dress. Her attire, however, was nothing of the sort. Instead she sported a deep blue blazer with a purple button up vest and a white collared shirt underneath. She paired this with well fitting gray slacks tucked into a new pair of black boots. The most immediately noticeable pieces of the Time Lady's new ensemble was her bright orange beanie and the tattered, worn blue scarf leftover from her previous incarnation. "What do you think?" She asked with a beaming smile.

Jessie looked up at the time lady, focusing on her new attire. "Why the orange beanie?" She asked, trying to break herself out of her dizzy spell.

"Uhh, well because I've never tried it before. Always good to be open to new things, isn't it?" The Protector popped down beside Jessie. "Jessie...why are we on the floor?"

"I... I just need a moment to lie down." She muttered. "This is all just... too much."

"Oh yeah, my bad, that happens sometimes on the first day." The Protector admitted. "I'm sure you'll get the hang of it once we give her a spin!" She stood up and walked up to the console. The Time Lady quickly began walking the perimeter of the hexagonal shape. "Tell me Jessie, anywhere you'd ever like to visit? In the past or the future, anywhere you'd ever wondered about?" She stops at a particular side of the console and taps her hand against it. "Any books you read as a kid about distant places? Maybe historical documentaries? Anything like that?"

"Wait. Any where in time or space, this ship of yours can go to?" She asks, slowly lifting herself back up.

"Anywhere and anywhen you'd like!" The Protector answered with a smile. "So Jessie Leon...where would you like to start?"

Jessie shook her and sighed. "My head hurts too much to even question how that works." Making her way over to the console, leaning over one of the panels as she looks down on the many controls and buttons on it. "Anywhere in time, you say? Well, uh, I've always kinda wanted to visit the past, being immersed in the period and really seeing what life was like back then."
