- Tanaka's POV -
It was the start of another boring school day with another boring history class. I was already thinking of volleyball practice after school, resting my chin against my volleyball as Mr Asano entered the classroom. Not only was he a boring teacher, he was frustratingly good looking meaning all the girls fawned after him.
"Mr Tanaka, I believe volleyball practice isn't until after school," he said, hinting at the ball that was on my desk. I let out a sigh and placed it on top of my bag. "Good. Now then class, today we have a new student joining us. May I introduce Miss (y/n) (l/n)," he gestured the door and in came a (tall/small) girl with (h/l) (h/c) hair framing her gorgeous face perfectly. She was (slim/chubby/big) and looks-wise was the definition of perfect.
"Hello everyone," she bowed, her voice sounding silky smooth. We had an angel in the class.
"We all welcome you to Karasuno High, Miss (l/n). We have a desk for you here," Asano pointed to a desk in the front, diagonal from me. I couldn't help but stare at her, feeling completely transfixed. I wasn't paying any attention to the class as I was too busy studying her, something that was probably a little creepy but I just couldn't take my eyes off of her.
She was smart too, answering a lot of Asano's questions correctly. Embarrassingly for me he asked me a question, and as I had been paying no attention to the class whatsoever I had no idea what the answer would be, so I guessed something stupid and the whole class laughed. (l/n) turned back to see me and I felt my cheeks heat up with embarrassment, especially as she then answered the question correctly.
Once class was over she was swarmed. So many people wanted to introduce themselves to the impressive new student, and I would've done the same if I hadn't of embarrassed myself so horrifically. I decided to keep my head down, wanting to talk to her desperately before she could join any other friend group, but the day went on and I felt as though I had missed my chance.
When volleyball practice came I couldn't help but spill my heart out to the rest of the team whilst we were in the changing room. "And she's so smart too! She answered every question she could correctly, she's everything anyone could ever want!" I cried, dropping to my knees.
"She sound heavenly," Noya said.
"So did you talk to her?" Suga asked and I faltered.
"Well I wanted to but..."
"But what?" Noya demanded, folding his arms.
"I kinda embarrassed myself... badly... her first impression of me was me answering a question so wrong!" I whined dramatically.
"So?" Noya asked.
"You've never backed away from flirting with Shimizu despite her rejecting you again and again," Chikara pointed out.
"I know but- but she's just an angel on earth... she probably thinks I'm so dumb now!" I pouted.
"Well prove to her you aren't dumb," Asahi said.
"That'll be one hell of a challenge," Daichi said and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I'm smart!" I protested and the team laughed. "I know some stuff!"
"Perhaps invite her to watch us practice? She can see how you're ace material then," Suga suggested and it was as though a light bulb went off in my head.
"I know! I can invite her to practice!" I said excitedly and Suga furrowed his eyebrows.
"That's what I just said-,"
