Note: this is based on a dream I had!
Despite going to the swimming pool with seven other people, I still felt immensely lonely. One of the seven was my boyfriend, Ren, but the relationship was bordering toxic. He'd ignore me or talk to me very little and as our mutual friends were closer to him than me they too would talk to me very little. I wasn't sure why I agreed to come on this outing to the indoor pools, but something compelled me.
We headed to the shallow pool and it wasn't much of a surprise when none of the seven were really talking to me. I felt like such a spare part as the seven of them began throwing around a blow up ball laughing happily. I glanced at my boyfriend, me already being on the tight rope of breaking up with him and I was slowly falling to that side.
I decided that I wasn't going to be missed so I swam into the other deeper pool away from the group, there thankfully being a bridge blocking the view between the shallow and the deep pools. I saw a space on the edge of the pool wall and headed straight for it, pulling myself up so I was sat on the edge with my feet still dangling in the water. There was no one sat near me meaning I could have some time on my own to think things over, splashing the water slightly as I moved my legs around under the surface. I felt sad, knowing I couldn't live my life this way. I knew something needed to change. I knew I needed to break up with Ren and probably find new friends as they'd undoubtedly side with him, being blind to everything he had done to me.
Suddenly a figure walking along the far side of the pool I was in caught my attention and my cheeks heated up as soon as I looked at him. He was so attractive, his dyed blond hair sweeping to his right side. He had a toned body that was difficult not to look at. I felt as though I had seen him somewhere, but I couldn't quite place it.
My body stiffened up as he and someone who looked very similar to him but with dyed grey hair walked around to the side of the pool I was sat. I felt frozen as the blond sat right next to me, acting so casually despite only being a few inches away. I tried to subtly glance up at him, seeing his chestnut brown eyes and sharp jawbone and I suddenly realised where I knew him from. He glanced at me and I quickly faced forward, my cheeks heating up at the fact I was caught. "Hey," he greeted.
"Hello," I mumbled, my hands wringing together.
"You okay? You seem nervous about somethin'," he said, making me feel embarrassed. "Ya look familiar... have we met before?"
"I... think so. You're Atsumu Miya, right?" I found my voice and looked up at him, feeling flustered all over again as he smirked down at me. I tried to avoid looking at his sexy torso but I also tried not to stare at his face - I was in quite the state.
"I am. Where do I know you from?"
"I-I don't think you know me... I volunteered at Ajinomoto National Training Centre when the All-Japan Youth Camp was being hosted there... you attended I believe," I explained.
"That's right, ya helped out with the equipment didn't ya," he said and I raised my eyebrows, surprised he remembered. "Pleasure to meet ya... uh..."
"Oh, I'm (y/n) (l/n)," I said quickly. "Pleasure to officially meet you too."
"Ahem," a voice on the other side of Atsumu said and I looked past him to see someone who looked almost identical to him.
"Oh, this is my brother, Osamu," Atsumu introduced us.
"Hi," he said simply.
"Hello... you two look awfully alike," I said and they chuckled.
"We're 'identical' twins, but I got all the good looks," Atsumu smirked and Osamu punched his twins shoulder.
