Yangqin stared at the picture frame, it was the first thing he saw every morning. (Y/n) (L/n). His former best friend. He couldn't sleep today though. His heart was beating out of his chest.

Today was his special date with her. After years of running around and simple flirting, he popped the question. She accepted. Now she was his, his darling. His general always did tease him about his crush.

(Y/n) loves him. He knew that very well.

If only he could've told her that before...

The woman before him now, was someone else. The moments she knew they were official, she changed.

Her whole demeanor changed. From cautious and shy to caring and loving. She went all wife mode on him. Jing has reminded him to pop the question several times. It's been a few years now.

He still had that photo, never got rid of it. He looked over to his left, seeing the sleeping body next to him. Even all these years later. She looked the same...
