It was the top of the 9th. There were 2 outs, bases loaded, and I was up to bat. What I did here at the plate right now, could be the difference between us being the champions, or taking third place. All eyes on me. I could do this, I knew I could. Strike one. Strike two. Marie, California Dynasty's #1 pitcher, winds up and releases the ball. I watch it fly in. I thought I had missed it, I ruined our chances of winning. But not even a second after I hit the ball, everyone in the stands was screaming, Coach Liz telling me to run. So I went, ran as fast as my legs could take me, round and round the bases. Kaila hit home plate, next Skie, then Jill. I rounded second base, getting closer and closer to third. As I hit the base, I hear something crack. My leg is in searing pain, and I'm about to collapse. But I just had to go on, I wanted to be remembered for this game, it's all I wanted. I touch home plate, and I knew I had won the championship for us. As everybody's running towards me to celebrate, everything goes black.
